I have a skin condition called Vitiligo, and it had made me feel insecure in my younger years. I have learned to love myself and feel that I can encourage other girls to feel beautiful with or without condition!
Cynthia, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as Model?
To model and sing. I started modelling my 2nd year of High School where my friend started to get into photography. He asked me to be his model, and when I uploaded the pictures to Instagram, many photographers and small clothing brands had asked me to work with them.
Who is your inspiration in life Cynthia? How do you stay inspired as a Model?
Tyra Banks. I stay inspired by looking up popular photoshoots and recreating them to feel confident in my modelling. New things/looks are always fun to try!
We all make mistakes Cynthia; we wish we could take back. What was the mistake you made in the past that you wish you can take back?
Nothing, no regrets! Although, if I had to say it would be not getting a full scholarship into college.
Cynthia, How do you describe yourself in terms of working with clients?
I am very good at working with clients. I worked in 2 restaurants in NYC, and I am studying Public Relations in college.
Please tell us, Cynthia, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family?
Work comes first. When work is done, I then reward myself by spending time with friends and family.
Cynthia, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
A lady used to always walk in one of the restaurants I worked at and would always ask for the window seat. On busy days, this wasn't always possible. Therefore, I had to explain to her the restaurant system and why she couldn't be seated there and gave her 2 options. To either wait longer for her spot or to provide her with a seat that's close to the one she wanted.
Cynthia, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model.
When I was asked to run for the Miss Queens/Brooklyn Beauty Pageant.
Cynthia, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I had a last minute photo shoot and had no wardrobe ready. I took an old t-shirt and tied it up in a cute style and dressed it up with accessories. It was exciting to discover how to make a new look out of an already existing one.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
Feel confident and attend frequent photo shoots to practice posing for professional events.
