Firstly Cory, how would you best describe yourself?

Coryplease tell us your talent/work rate per hour?
I don't charge per hour, but per session. My sessions normally start at $350 but go up, depending on my client needs or wants.

Cory. Tell us ABOUT yourself.
I am a creative photographer based out of Nashville, TN. I am originally from California. I have always loved photography but only took it more serious in the last years. I have travelled with my photography work in and around Tennessee, Texas, California, as well as abroad in Madagascar, Africa. I love using my creative mind in my photography, bringing photos to life, and telling stories through them.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Cory. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I think on unique thing about me is that I lived in Madagascar, Africa for over eight years. Now I just travel there for short trips, focusing on photography. I love using things around me in my photography. I love to be creative. I will find things to shoot through to give different effects and tones to my photos.

Cory, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?

Support this article to be the cover of Model Citizen Magazine by getting 10,000 views in one week.

I started out using film photography and eventually went to digital. I still use film from time to time, but not as often. I always loved taking photos, but it wasn't until around 2010 where I took it more serious. I am self-taught, but I am always learning new things every year. Photography for me is my big passion. I love capturing moments in time, and telling a story through that photo. I love it when people can look at one of my photos and really see more than just a photo, but see life and a story.

Who is your inspiration in life Cory? How do you keep inspired?

I try to continue to keep inspired in a variety of ways. Some of them being, listening to music, watching movies, taking walks and brainstorming. A lot of the times I will get my ideas late at night, and I will jot them down. Other times I will find a new photography tip, learn it and give it a try in my personal work.

We all make mistakes Cory; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Photographer; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
There were times when I just started out as the photographer, and the communication between a client and me wasn't the best. Things were talked about up front that should have been, and so it got a little tricky. They eventually got worked out for the best in the end. And I also learned a lesson, to make sure that the communication is clear upfront whomever I am working with.

Cory , when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?

I always love to talk to my clients and first see what they are in need of, and when is the deadline, for when they need their work done. I always want to work and do the best that I can for them. Once I see the need, then I go from there, seeing what work needs to come first and so on.

Please tell us, Cory, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?

I just looked at the big picture, this is what I need to do, this is my time limit and adjust things as needed. I always want to satisfy my clients to my best ability with my work.

Cory, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
There have been times when some of my clients weren't sure of exactly what they wanted. I took the time to really speak to them, sharing about my work and what I can accomplish, showing them as well some of my work that I have recently accomplished. In the end, it all worked out, and everything was successful.

Cory, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
Some of my proudest moments as a photographer is when I win over the clients with my work. When they are completely satisfied, and they continue to call upon me for future photography needs. That is what I want to do with my photography. I want to be able to put a smile on my client's faces, that they are going to love my work of them. And for those times when I have reoccurring clients, wanting to work with me again and again, that's a great accomplishment.

Cory, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
There have been many times when I have been able to be creative with my work. Many of my clients know that about me, that I like to do different things with my photos, making my work stand out from others at times. When I have a client, love my style of photography and leave it all up to me to accomplish that, that makes me very excited about my work.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?

Just keep taking photos and don't give up! Even when times are slow, take that time to continue to study and learn a new technique.
