The thing is that I am a young girl trying to get her style, you know it is not easy to get out of the Instagram bloggers, or either being different to other photographers. The thing that is different with me is that I try to make the people look at themselves after the shooting and see them smiling while they see the picture of them.
Clotilde, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?
I love looking at the Instagram of other photographers, not to copy but to get inspiration for my future shootings, I think that it is important to recognise that this community of Instagram made me love photography and gave me the envy to try it by myself
Who is your inspiration in life Clotilde? How do you keep inspired?
Brandon Woelfel is one of my greatest inspiration. This guy has the perfect way to edit his photos and keep his colourimetry through all his pictures. When I see one of his photos, I recognise it right away, I know that this photo is his, and that is one of my goal in photography. I want people to look at the picture and say "Oh that's Clotilde's photo". It is about identity, and the main inspiration I have is that I am constantly looking for mine through my pictures.
We all make mistakes Clotilde; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Photographer; you want you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
Unfortunately, I had to refuse a client once, but it was a really good opportunity that I regret after the time. I should have taken it.
Clotilde, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
First, I want them to smile at the photos when they see them. That is my main goal, once they're happy with their pictures, with their expression and face on it, then the big part of the job is done. The rest is just about the little "plus" I have to add on post editing.
Please tell us Clotilde, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?
Clotilde, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
I had to shoot once with a boy who thought he was a really good model. Not that he wasn't, he was actually pretty good, but maybe a little bit too stubborn, I was supposed to make the photos and to tell him how to pose, stuff like that, and he did not want to listen to me. So I had to talk for a long time with him until he let me go my way.
Clotilde, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
One of my first shooting, it was the first time I used my 50mm with one of my friends, I was so excited about it! We went out and started taking photos. One of my favourite among all we had done is the one I made in the maize field. It was rainy the day before so all around us was kind of wet, but the light and the reflection of the water of the day before was incredible.
Clotilde, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
During a shooting into a castle, it was a great place to take photos, but I first got a little scared because my model did not know how to pose and I did not know how to do with this kind of place. But it ended up nicely, and we got some nice pictures.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?
Find your identity, do not try to copy others, it doesn't work. Just do what you like and post photos you are proud of.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes, I love collaborating, I don't do this for the money, and I think it is interesting to learn about different styles so whatever collaboration it is.
