I am a progressive and spiritual person. I believe this shows through in my work. I believe in loving other people regardless of their beliefs and staying true to my values. I think this is a message our world needs right now.
Cindy, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
I've always been interested in the arts. I was originally pursuing music and acting career. During those pursuits, colleagues suggested I take up modelling as well to help further my work in music/acting. Seeing as all fields in entertainment are related, I decided to start modelling as well, and it has helped to build and further my brand!
Who is your inspiration in life Cindy? How do you keep inspired?
I admire my parents and generations who have paved the way for me. I admire other artists as well- especially those who are authentic and stand for something noble. Right now I am inspired by Gabriel and Jess Conte. As well as frontman for The Killers, Brandon Flowers.
We all make mistakes Cindy; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I aim to have a wholesome image and be a role model for teenage youth. During the start of my modelling career, I consented to take some photos that are now looking back, I feel are not congruent with the message I wish to send my audience. From now on I hope to stand up for myself better and respectfully explain what I am willing or not willing to do. :)
Cindy, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
I try to improve my communication skills by reaching out for feedback. That way I can understand what others are asking from me, and see how I can best meet their needs.
Please tell us, Cindy, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
It's all about preparation! I take time beforehand to plan out my outfits, hair/makeup, and posing. When we are prepared, we will always give a better performance and show others what we are really about.
Cindy, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
Besides being a model/entertainer/artist, I am also a youth mentor. Sometimes behavioural issues are exhibited at my work from my clients. I think respect and patience are key when persuading others to consider your point of view. Whenever a client didn't want to cooperate with me, I used those things to help aid them while still maintaining a healthy friendship.
Cindy, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
The first time I got published! I didn't even plan to take modelling as seriously as I make my other endeavours (singing, writing, acting, etc.) so getting published was a surprise and accomplishment!
Cindy, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
Directing my first video was exciting and challenging. I am used to being directed, so wearing the director's hat was a growing opportunity for me.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
I'd advise others to stay true to who they are and find something noble to stand for. That way you're not just a pretty face, but an artist with a voice.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
