Our readers would love to get to know you more Cindi. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer?
I do not fit any stereotypical molds of what anyone thinks a fashion photographer should be. I am a 53 yr old grandmother who refuses to give up on her, arms. I am fun, fashionable and creative as and colorful as the day is long.
Cindi, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?
I was photographing as far back s I can remember. I was offered a part-time job 31 yrs ago by the lady who photographed my first child. I was hooked. One day I will photograph for Vogue magazine.
Who is your inspiration in life Cindi? How do you stay inspired as Photographer?
The fashion world inspires me, it plain moves me. From the hair and makeup to the way the fabric flows in front of the lens. I adore the artificial world of fashion.
We all make mistakes Cindi; we wish we could take back. What was the mistake you made in the past that you wish you can take back?
I wish I could take back all the years I wasted snapping everything that moved instead of focusing on what I was truly meant to shoot which was fashion and beauty.
Cindi, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients?
I love to mold my subjects into art, plain and simple. I love to reveal things to them in front of the lens they did not know existed. That’s a magical moment for me as an artist.
Please tell us, Cindi, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family?
I work a lot but my family knows I am dedicated to my art. They help to keep me grounded, and I love them for that. I wouldn’t be able to do it without them.
Cindi, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
Kourosh always listens to me, and we make magic together. He is my favorite designer, and we have grown so much together as artists. I think it’s so important to work with people who are willing to listen to your ideas from time to time and in return you have to be willing to grow as an artist and listen to theirs a
Cindi, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer.
It was huge for me to have all four judges stand up and walk over to closely examine my work and then award me the Fuji Film Masterpiece award. That was a big day. I was so honored.
Cindi, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
Working on the streets of New York City is a challenge but oh so rewarding. I could tell you so many stories about batteries dying, people challenges and wardrobe malfunctions. It was all worth it to see the final products!
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?*
Never give up, through all the blood sweat and the tears, keep pressing on!
