I have a different outlook on life as a veteran who served in both Afghanistan and Iraq. I have travelled around the globe to both good and bad areas and have developed a different outlook on life, and it is portrayed in my photography. I love to bring out the sensuality in people. It is a great display of what is great about humanity.
Christopher, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?
Started at the age of 12. My grandfather was a professional wedding photographer, and when he found out I had joined photo club in school, he immediately bought me a camera and had me go to work for him as an assistant. I was shooting weddings about two years later.
Who is your inspiration in life Christopher? How do you keep inspired?
My wife keeps me inspired and is always criticising my work. She motivates me.
We all make mistakes Christopher; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Photographer; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I wish that I had taken every moment I could to learn from my grandfather. Although he had taught me a lot and we had worked together for years before he passed away, I wish that I knew that life was so short. I would have drawn more knowledge from him if my outlook was different back then.
Christopher, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
I ask what they are looking for and do my best to deliver that. In my style. They usually have come to you because they like your work.So generally they are seeking your style and are not disappointed.
Please tell us, Christopher, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?
There is a studio I rent that is perfect for many different style shoots. However, they only rent full days out. Not by the hour. So if I get someone who wants to shoot a few hours there, I have to convince a few more that they all need to book on the same day. Lol, of course, I offer a discount to them since the daily rental id split amongst a few people.
Christopher, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
I have a model who wanted to take her clothes off. I kept taking implied nudes and not showing any actual nudity. Then I kept asking her to put her clothes back on. When she saw the final product, she was very happy with the sensuality and the lack of nudity.
Christopher, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
Every time I see a client tell me how awesome their picture is I am at my proudest. I also had a client tell me I had captured an event, and the essence of what had occurred like no one in their last five years of doing the events had ever done. That was a great feeling.
Christopher, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
Trying new things is always exciting. Especially when they turn out well. I love experimenting with gels, and the results are usually amazing.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?
Never stop educating yourself.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Possibly doing creative boudoir in the fashion industry.
