Creative Director

Christopher. Tell us ABOUT yourself.
I am a young filmmaker, 19, I have my own company chi QC that I started and collaborate with talent to make beautiful videos. I have a background in music production as well as fashion design; I can use a sewing machine as well. I apply all 3 of these skills to create a great piece of work, quality from all fields.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Christopher. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I am black and Korean, something I am starting to use to my advantage as far as art goes. I can pull from these cultural roots and express it in my style of video. Also, I quit my job within two weeks of turning 19. Film making and building a legacy is my passion; it's much bigger than myself at this point.

Christopher, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Creative Director?

I always knew I wanted to be a filmmaker. I love the whole process behind the music, fashion, and a good video. I decided at about age 15 that I wanted to make this a living. I started sketching out different fashion pieces, thinking outside the box. Moved onto music and sound design t before finally becoming a film maker. I knew I wanted to pursue film making third because everything before that skill goes into making a good film, it was all planned out.

Who is your inspiration in life Christopher? How do you keep inspired?

I'm inspired by people and companies that constantly broke barriers and did the "impossible". Elon musk, Kanye west, Jay-Z, Sony inc, steve jobs, brthr just to name a few. I always watch videos of successful people describing their struggles before success. The mental torture was all worth it, and I can never give up, because why would they have something in them that I don't? We all can succeed, it's a choice.

We all make mistakes Christopher; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Creative Director, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
As a CEO, and a very busy one at that, you get in the habit of eliminating things that burden you. This is good until it's another person that really deserves sympathy and you cut them off, not to sound heartless. I believe I can be blunt sometimes to even a non-effective way, but it's something I always try to work on and get better at. I cut off a lot of friends in 2016.

Christopher , when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Creative Director, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

I have actually been rejecting clients recently. I don't perform well under a numerous deadlines simply because there is no time to! I do my best to filter out the important clients from the potentially B.S. clients and save myself a headache. As a general rule though, the clients more beneficial to my brand's image or pockets gets bumped up the ladder quicker than others.

Please tell us, Christopher, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Creative Director?

It comes times when I have to meet a bunch of deadlines, I simply turn my phone off and get to work. Nothing better than silence and a plan. Bigger video edits first, and then the small ones.

Christopher, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
When I see that someone isn't understanding the vision. I try to bring them to the end of the journey and show the benefits of my route. Maybe provide a supporting example and see if there can even be a compromise at worse.

Christopher, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Creative Director. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
I got to do a commercial for Dominos pizza with only three months experience as a film maker. I thought that was really cool and fun; we used drones.

Christopher, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I shot a dance video with rich homie key and had full creative control over it. Overall we got close to half a million views on youtube, and I felt really proud. I worked really hard on the animations, and it paid off

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Creative Director?

Work hard and post online as much as you can, people love seeing progress and the come up.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I'm looking for people in make-up, fashion design, sound design, and plethra of models to complete the sea of concepts in my mind, at all times.
