ABOUT

I'm a freelance fashion and lingerie model. I'm also an artist; my favourite mediums are photography and paint. I like to write poetry and sings as well. I'm finishing undergrad this Fall so I will have a BA in art therapy. I plan to pursue my modelling and acting career for a few years and then go to grad school for music therapy. My goal is to become an expressive therapist so I can pursue all my passions and help people in the process.

Chloe, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as Model?

I started as a baby model when I was 18 months old. I won 2nd place in 1997 Burlington county most beautiful baby contest. When I was 2 1/2, I got a gig in NYC, and I blew it because I freaked out and threw a teddy bear at the cameraman. They kicked us out mid-shoot. My mom gave up on trying to make me a model. As a child I always thought about how my life would've turned out had I continued the modelling. Would I big on the big screen with Hannah Montana? Would my family be rich? I started modelling again when I was 19. At first, it was just an easy way to make some extra money, while working part-time and going to school. I just recently started modelling full time. Most of my work is fashion and lingerie. My goal is to use my modelling career as a gateway into acting.

Who is your inspiration in life Chloe? How do you stay inspired as a Model?

My biggest modelling inspiration is Marilyn Monroe because of her dedication to her career. I had a similar life story to Norma Jean, growing up in the foster care system. I have very low self-esteem and no sense of who I was. I never thought I would make it into acting because I was too shy. For me, she inspires me never to give up.

We all make mistakes Chloe; we wish we could take back. What was the mistake you made in the past that you wish you can take back?

I wish I spent more time finding my true self and less time being what I thought others wanted me to be.

Chloe, How do you describe yourself in terms of working with clients?

Clients are always happy to work with me because I'm good at posing and easy to work with.

Please tell us, Chloe, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family?

Because I'm a full-time freelance model, I get to choose my schedule. Most of my close friends and family work 9-5 jobs so I try to schedule my classes and shoots during those hours so I can see them.

Chloe, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.

I used to work at a warehouse. One day I had to train a new employee on how to palatalise. He wasn't listening and kept making these tall unsteady palates. I told him it was going to fall over, that he should start with the bigger boxes at the bottom so it would be more steady. He saw it my way when his palate fell over, and I had to help him clean it up.

Chloe, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model.

I will be in a Lor' Dour Design online fashion magazine that comes out this Fall.

Chloe, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

I collaborated with a photographer, Marcus Smith, who just wanted to do a test shoot. He wanted me to choose two looks that were completely different (clothes, makeup, hair). I was excited about this because I have many different personality states that each have their style. The hardest part was choosing just two, so I asked the photographer if we could do 3 different looks and he was all about it. The images came out amazing, and it was like I went to 3 different photo shoots.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?

Be careful. There are a lot of scammers out there that look for new models. A lot of them will send you fake checks and have you put it in your bank account and wire money to a "wardrobe stylist". If they ask you to do this, it is 100% a scam. I would recommend paying for a professional shoot if you're starting. They will do your makeup for you, show you how to pose and edit the images. It's expensive but worth it.
