I love learning new languages. The combination of different letters and characters that each language uses is what intrigues me the most. I started learning Spanish at age 4, French and Greek in Middle School, and Russian in high school. I also love when people show an interest in languages because I am able to share my love when them where they can truly appreciate it, and it's culture.
Charli, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
Dancing has always had a huge impact on my life. I started as a ballet dancer at age 9, which is very late for most dancers. However, with a lot of work and time, I was able to dance en pointe, which was a huge dream of mine. Dancing was an essential part of my life because either was able to express my emotions through it and show the world what I had to offer. Now that is modelling for me. I started in the fashion industry of modelling, where I would get booked for my different companies to wear their clothes for advertisements and newspapers.
Who is your inspiration in life Charli? How do you keep inspired?
All the people who are told that they won't be able to do something that they can't because of whatever reason and still try, are my inspiration. It's hard to continually be positive when people are waiting for you to fail, but I keep going my keeping my eye on my goals and telling myself that what matters in my efforts.
We all make mistakes Charli; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I remember booking a shoot with a photographer I hadn't shot with before. Something about him felt, but I still went. He wanted me to do some poses that made me uncomfortable, but I complied anyway. It ended up being fine, but I still wish I would have spoken up and conveyed how I was feeling.
Charli, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
I make sure that I always give my self-time to rejuvenate in-between shoots so that I can do my best on each shoot. Putting my all in each photo I take is something that is very important to me, and I make sure happens. When I am committed, I am fully committed.
Please tell us Charli, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
I can't think of a time in particular, but for me, planning everything out is key to getting things done. Making sure I know what needs to happen when it needs to be done by, and sticking to that timeline is what lets me be successful.
Charli, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
I had a photographer one time who knew most of what he wanted to execute, but there was still some hole. I came to him and presented my idea to him very confidently, and even though he was a little sceptical at first, he ended up going with it because of how confident I was about it. The shoot ended up being very beautiful, and everyone was happy with how it turned out. It's a great example of how important confidence is.
Charli, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
I have to say that my proudest moment is a fairly recent one. I had received an email requesting that I audition for being on the runway for a fashion show during fashion week. Even though it is still coming up and there is no guarantee that I will get to walk, just the fact that they saw something in me enough to contact me, made me proud of how hard I have worked.
Charli, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I always get excited when I am able to choose what makeup look I am going to have. I always go for something bizarre and uncommon because I love grabbing people's attention and making them wonder what exactly I am up to.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
Never give up. No matter how hard it may be or how many people are telling you to give up, don't. All the hard work, time, and effort you're putting in now will be worth it later.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Absolutely. I am willing to collaborate in just about every avenue available so the best way to know for sure would be to contact me. But I definitely would love to do commercials, advertising different brands, and so forth.
