Toronto, Ontario

I am 9 years old. I have been training in musical theatre since I was 5 years old. I have been in 7 productions where I have played, lead, supporting, and ensemble roles.
About a year an a half ago I decided to give commercial acting a try. I had a callback on my very first audition for a national commercial. Though I didn't book that job, I booked the next job I auditioned for.
So far, I have worked doing sizzles, corporate videos, some print work, online commercials, as well as promos. I have a world wide commercial that is currently on air for a toy from Spin Master called Zhu Zhu Pets.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Catie . Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I enjoy public speaking, presentations, and performing on stage, as well as on camera.

Catie , what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a model?

My parents heard about a open casting call that a theatre company was doing for the musical "The Wizard of Oz".
I went to the casting and was immediately hooked. They called me back to read for Toto and I landed the role. I the youngest in the play being 5 years old.

Who is your inspiration in life Catie ? How do you keep inspired?

I watched a lot of TV, movies, Youtube and enjoy reading! James Corden and Anna Kendrick are two of my favourite actors. I love comedy and musical theatre. Both of these actors were in the movie "Into the Woods". I was fortunate enough to perform in a production of it as well. I played Jack. It was so much fun! I also love the show GLEE.

We all make mistakes Catie , we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a model, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I wouldn't say this was a mistake, however, I am an animal lover. There have been a couple times when I have had to pretend (act) like I preferred a toy over a live animal. I did it because that was what the job called for. It was part of the script. I didn't realize it would offend so many people. I was acting. I am not sure what else I could have done.

Catie  ,when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a a model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

My parents handle my schedule.

Please tell us Catie , about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a a model?

My parents plan

Catie , please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.

Same as above.

Catie, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share to everyone. What is it and why?
The first time I saw my commercial on TV was pretty exciting. I have also been proud after all my theatre performances. We work for months training for a play and then theatre week comes and it is so exciting to see the hard work payoff.

Catie , please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
Sometimes you really need to be creative doing self-tape auditions.

What advice would you give to the people who wants to be successful as a a model?

Enjoy the process. There's always something new to learn. Make sure you are having fun!
