I've been a model for nearly ten years now with lots of experience with different styles and concepts. I'm a hairstylist by trade and an actress, so I love the creative aspect of that as well, and bring those to whatever shoot I'm doing! I am down to earth, funny, and love to make people laugh!
I'm 5'8'', have blue/green eyes, and my hair colour changes every month because I love trying new styles and colours. The funkier, the better!
Our readers would love to get to know you more Cate. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer?
I consider myself to be an alternative model because I have tattoos and piercings. I love funny/edgy/avant-garde photoshoots where I can express my style.
Cate, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
I started modelling when I was 20 years old. I never thought that I would be a model because I didn't think I'd fit the mould. My passion in life is to help others. To help those in need, the people who are struggling. I have always been empathetic towards others, and think that everyone deserves a happy life.
Who is your inspiration in life Cate? How do you stay inspired as Model?
I have a few inspirations - Meryl Streep tops the list. Not only does she inspire me with my acting career, but she also teaches me to remain humble. Her humanitarian work is astounding, and she isn't afraid to be herself, even when she is known as the best actress in the world which is incredibly talented.
We all make mistakes Cate, and we wish we could take back. What was the error you made in the past that you want to you can bring back?
The only mistake that I wish I could take back was giving my heart to someone who I deeply loved and cared for and having it broken.
Cate, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients?
I'm very professional. I take direction very well, and I'm always on time. I am open to different concepts, styles and moods. I take my career seriously, and still, give 100 per cent!
Please tell us, Cate, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family?
Family always comes first for me because they are the most important. I also take my hairstyling career very seriously and never for granted. I am fortunate to have the job that I do and always strive to do my best and grow as a stylist. From time to time I like to go out with friends and have a good time, but I always enjoy a movie at home with a nice cup of tea!
Cate, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
A fellow stylist I work with was having a difficult time with a particular haircut. She was struggling a little bit, so I came over and gave her some advice on how to cut and style it, and how it would suit her client. I always like to help people, to provide useful information, and make sure that they will succeed in whatever they do!
Cate, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model.
My proudest moment was when I found out that a photographer had framed and hung a giant photo of me on his wall to show to his guests. Not only was I shocked, but incredibly humble and thankful!
Cate, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it?
During one of my most recent shoots, I was able to have access to all the costumes that were provided for the models. There was so much to choose from! That's the most exciting thing for me. Being able to create something that will stand out and resonate with people. I also love having a say in the makeup process because I always tell them "Do something edgy!"
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?*
Always be open for growth. Do your research, hone in on your skills and be prepared for critique and constructive criticism. Don't give up, keep working your way to the top and keep striving!
