My uniqueness spills from being relentless. I never give up or let up. If I want something, I work hard until it's mine. I have many talents that most have been self-taught. I've educated myself on makeup, hair, marketing, modelling, and now business. The "Skyy" is truly the limit.
Carrie, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Creative Agency?
I have a passion for helping others the best way I can, with whatever connections or networks that I may have. I aspire to build my business around that same passion. I started my creative agency after finding a major lack in the market for what I was searching for. A reputable company, with knowledge in its field, and one that helped others succeed through that knowledge and expertise.
Who is your inspiration in life Carrie? How do you keep inspired?
Im my inspiration. I've looked up to many others before, only to realise they are only human. I am relentless, ambitious, motivational, strong-willed, and hard-working. My inspiration comes from setting huge goals with small goals in between that help me get to where I would like to be in the future.
We all make mistakes Carrie; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Creative Agency; you want to you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I hired talent for a client for an out of town gig. The client disregarded my expert in hiring good talent and decided not to book the talent I hired because of the talents' race. The talent did not get booked by the client, and the client hired another talent I suggested which was not a good fit for the gig, and it showed in his work ethic. In the future, I will make sure the client leaves the hiring and logistics to the company and me. Being new I thought the client would know more about my field than I would and so the gig was almost jeopardised because I gave all my power to the client.
Carrie, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Creative Agency, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
My weaknesses are being a people pleaser. I go above and beyond to make sure my clients are happy, even if I have to get the job done myself. I prioritise my clients' needs by keeping notes on each particular client., following up with emails or via phone, and referring my clients to other businesses that may/may not be better for them because of experience, network, or whatever.
Please tell us, Carrie, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Creative Agency?
Being new there are certain hurdles I haven't crossed just yet. In the future, if this scenario shows up, I will utilise my team members and their expertise. I truly believe that teamwork makes the dream work. Without a team, no strategy will work efficiently.
Carrie, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
I don't persuade others. I'm more a leader than the boss. I usually lead by example. Others look at what I do, sees that it works or doesn't work and they proceed to do what I'm doing. Works like a charm.
Carrie, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Creative Agency. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest moment was being featured on a major website, ThisIs50.com. This is 50 is the hip-hop legend, executive producer, and actor 50 Cents' publication. I had only been in business two weeks when I got the news that my company was being featured on the site. That's major! With traffic reaching millions!
Carrie, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I live for creativeness. My work is always creative. From my makeup artistry to booking the perfect talent for any project.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Creative Agency?
My best advice is to be yourself. Find your purpose. Never take no for an answer and NEVER give up.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes, I am always looking to collaborate. My company has a variety of brands and talents to collaborate with. Anyone in the fashion, entertainment, creative, or modelling fields would be great to collaborate with.
