Our readers would love to get to know you more Carlos. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?
I began my photography career working for Lifetouch and doing senior portraits. I branched out on my own when I graduated college, and now I enjoy meeting people and pushing the envelope of their creativity
Carlos, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?
My passion in life is to push the envelope through photography and make people take notice of my art. I started by doing school pics..senior, prom pics, and I was ask can I do something adventurous and something "click" and the Vixen, Queen, Goddesses Photography was created
Who is your inspiration in life Carlos? How do you keep inspired?
My inspiration in life is to make images that people will talk about beyond my lifetime.
We all make mistakes Carlos, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Photographer, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I once had a group of models posing together, and the individuals did not seem to be professional in working together. I ended up photographing them individually. I wished I would have talked to them and express how working together we could have made that shoot AWESOME!!!
Carlos , when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
Planning and scheduling are key. With many different models, ideas and appointments... it is "IMPORTANT" to plan, communicate expectations and follow a strict schedule even for the simplest shoots.... but have fun!!!
Please tell us, Carlos , about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?
It is my experience to plan accordingly. I have learned to use a strict schedule to plan my photography activities daily. This is very important when you book clients and expect them to be on time and not intrude on another model's scheduled time.
Carlos, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
Most people have their favourite colors and they believe they only can be seen or look good in certain colors...I "accidentally" misplaced models favorite color back drop and forced her to shoot using colors she normally would not use.... the pics came out great.
Carlos, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My career is rather short.... being interviewed for Model Citizen Mag and having my photographs to be seen by the world is my proudest moment thus far.
Carlos, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I'm excited by pushing people to do something new and unexpected. My most creative work is when I combine ideas to make something different.... Like combing ideas of body paint shoot and then adding fruit or shooting a model in lingerie on a golf course...The difficulty is conveying my ideas to models... some think I off.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?
Shoot what you like...Work with the people who support you and Ignore the ones who criticize you!!!!
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I am looking to collaborate with all brands.. especially with lingerie, swimsuit brands and all brands that cater to females... MESSAGE ME
