I am unique because I was a very shy girl growing up. Modelling helped me with that and grew my confidence and social skills.
Cami, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
My aspiration in life is to be a child psychologist. I love psychology and would love to help children in the Psychology way! I started modelling as a senior in high school. My mom had a friend that was a photographer so we did a shoot one day and I was addicted!
Who is your inspiration in life Cami? How do you keep inspired?
My inspiration in life is my mom. She and I have been through a lot together, and she always stays positive through it all. She is such a strong woman! I keep inspired by looking at new trends and other model photos.
We all make mistakes Cami; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
When I lived in New York, I worked as a club Model. I took advantage of it, especially being a 19-year-old girl. I wish I could have made more contacts out there and went further in my modelling career.
Cami, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
I get to know each person and see what they want from me. Then prioritise who wants more from me, so I give them the best service possible. Of course, I would treat everyone the same and give everyone my best!
Please tell us Cami, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
I would have to go back to New York again. New York is a big modelling state, so there is always going to be better models than you. I made sure to let the client know that I was unique and ready to work as hard as possible.
Cami, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
I am a waitress, so at work, it's a very busy environment. I had to persuade a manager to change some things in our happy hour menu to make customers happy.
Cami, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest accomplishment was walking in 3 New York Fashion week shows! It's nervewracking, but it was so much fun!
Cami, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
One photo shoot I got to do, was my themed photo shoot. It was actually for suicide girls. I got to pick the location and what I wanted to wear. It was a lot of fun!
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
Be yourself. Don't try to act like this gorgeous person, be you. Confidence shows in your pictures, fairness also shows, and it's not a good look.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes! A collaboration with a fashion designer would be amazing!
