Our readers would love to get to know you more Caitlin Daisy. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I like to explore the entire world of modelling artistry. I was disabled and took up the challenge of creating beauty everyday. Helping others create and sharing creations.

Caitlin Daisy, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

My passion in life is seeking happiness for all. I was ill and disabled for 7years. I started modelling again after I started walking 2yrs ago for a mental health charity project I started. I wanted to create a series of body painted images representing mental health realities. With myself as the model. I realised from this the way imagery can evoke emotion. And can make one feel beautiful. That lead me down the path to feeling happiness within Me simply for myself. Sharing that experience with another gives them happiness also. Watching a bird soar through the sky is beauty indeed but seeing an image of a girl on a headland looking like a bird with perfect lighting a picturesque view and stunning pose with sheer fabric perfectly captured moving in the wind is also beautiful. I would love to be an ambassador for mentally health Australia.

Who is your inspiration in life Caitlin Daisy? How do you keep inspired?

The real question is how do you inspire yourself?

I have a bluebird tattooed on my wrist. It resembles two things. A memory I keep close to my heart. I woke up paralysed from the waist down. Depressed, no hope, lost. Looked out my window and saw a blue sky, fluffy white clouds, tops of trees and a beautiful bird flew through the sky. And it was stunning. Made me cry actually. Because I wanted to die. Because I thought I had nothing. But the birds fly just to create beauty for all everyday. Without anything. That keeps me going. And a quote from a movie I love. "Search for the bluebird of happiness". So I look at my wrist when I'm down and search, and I create beauty.

We all make mistakes Caitlin Daisy; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.

I slept through my alarms and missed a photoshoot that I was looking forward to with an amazing photographer. Now he doesn't want to work with me. Unhappy face.

Caitlin Daisy , when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?

Well, it always comes down to being a great multi tasker. Always keeping to a schedule and managing your diary well. Remaining in contact. And if anything goes wrong be upfront. Honesty best policy.

Please tell us, Caitlin Daisy, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

I had 4shoots in 36hrs, so I decided to take a bit of control over what I could. Organise my travel to be shortest routes possible, ensure shoots run on time. I had everything confirmed and packed 3days before these days and my diary filled in with my entire schedule inch travel details.

Caitlin Daisy, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.

I was asked to do a nude pose I was comfortable with. However I felt that the shots taken in that pose would have been distasteful and would not suit the shoot we were doing and was able to pursuance the photographer that we were not going to do these photos to not waste our time or effort.

Caitlin Daisy, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

When I did my first shoot on a stool body painted as a puppet. I had only been out of a wheelchair for 1mth and still in the walking frame. But for my mental health project body, I hated shaking legs and all I stood on a tiny stool and did a shoot.

Caitlin Daisy, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

I am always creative. I have been creative director and stylist for many shoots that I'm proud of, and some have been published. I also come up with many of the themes of shoots I do and get to work on ideas with talented artists on what we plan on doing to make our visions reality.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?

Don't intend to be a model to be someone. Or to be a cookie cutter model. Be successful by being open to challenge yourself and your beauty and body. What can you create? What beauty can you bring to this world and in limitless ways because we all can?
