I am a dance major and photography minor and Brigham Young University - Idaho. I love all things creative and adventurous!
Brooklyn, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?
I started as a photographer by taking pictures of friends as a hobby. My passion quickly grew, and before I knew it I was taking wedding photos!
Who is your inspiration in life Brooklyn? How do you keep inspired?
My clients inspire me. Everyone is unique and has their own story to tell. Everyone's photos turn out differently because of their story
We all make mistakes Brooklyn; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Photographer; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
As I first began photography, I was often timid with my clients, not wanting to take charge. I learned that a lot of people feel awkward when they aren't told what to do in front of the camera, so I decided to have fun with it and take charge! I found people became much more comfortable with me after that.
Brooklyn, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
I always try to get a feel for their personality and ask what they are looking for in their pictures. I want to give them pictures they will love and cherish.
Please tell us Brooklyn, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?
As you begin to take a lot of photos, the editing work can pile up quickly. I have to prioritise my time well so I can get the pictures back to my clients quickly.
Brooklyn, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
I try to help people understand my perspective and point of view while also trying to understand theirs.
Brooklyn, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
I love when I share the editing photos with my clients, and they gush over them! It's such a good feeling to know they love your work.
Brooklyn, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
Recently I've taken up some modelling as well so I can understand how it feels to be on the other side of the camera. I like to be able to help my client feel comfortable, and that happens best when you have been in their shoes.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?
Go with your heart! Don't be afraid to be creative and have fun with it. Don't be afraid to try something new. Even if it doesn't work out exactly how you had planned, at least you tried, and you're one step closer to figuring it out!
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I would love to collab! Hair and makeup artists, clothing, anything!
