I think what's unique about myself is that I never settle for anything. It's important to know your worth, and it took me awhile to realise that I can do and be anything I want. There was a time when I was afraid to tell people that I wanted to be a model because I was afraid that they would think that I just thought I was good looking. Now I take myself to castings, and I collaborate with other artists in other industries and have broken out of my shy shell with modelling. Modelling helped me find myself and identify with others who I am; I want to use modelling encourage people to chase their dreams, never settle for less, and to do what they do with passion.
Bridget, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
I thought I was passionate about hair styling until I was asked to modelling for a few hair events, and I found my passion. I still love to do hair, but it's not who I am anymore. I believe things happen for a reason and I think my Cosmetology path was supposed to lead me to model.
Who is your inspiration in life Bridget? How do you keep inspired?
I'm inspired most by the woman I have yet to become. I stay inspired in that way because I never lose focus of what I want to do, who I want to be, and where I want to go.
We all make mistakes Bridget; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
Using my voice. My shoots get better over time because I am learning to have more creative control with photo shoots by doing my own thing, and the photographers love it when I am myself in front of the camera.
Bridget, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
Every client should feel as though they are the only client. Deliver the best work to everyone.
Please tell us, Bridget, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
Time management is everything! I always arrive early and check train times and traffic reports. A little coffee helps.
Bridget, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
I'm never afraid to give suggestions to improve how things can be more effective and take less time, and make more money. I was able to persuade my employer to run Facebook ads and use social media to get more people in the door. I became the social media marketer and got an increase in pay!!
Bridget, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest moment in modelling was posting my first real photoshoot photos to my social media. The responses were great, but I was most proud because it set the stage for my future work in modelling.
Bridget, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
Having complete control of photo shoots is great, I can do, wear, pose, however, but a little direction is always nice. I like working with the photographers like we're on a team. I love having a little give and take with how each project runs.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
Don't stop going until you get where you want to be. And then keep going.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I have so many different styles; I want to collaborate with anyone who shares my vision of art in general. I would love to work with designers looking to launch any projects and model their designs to help them succeed in their business. I love brands that do well for a cause as well. I am always looking for people who like to "give back".
