My gymnastics experience makes me pretty unique in the modelling business, I think. I love getting unique shots of handstands or flips.
Brandon, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
Athletics is my passion, and taking pictures of my life is how I get to share that passion. I started getting serious about the pictures I was talking about a year ago when I noticed some other athletes doing it, and I instantly fell in love. As far as life aspirations, I'd like to own my own business at some point.
Who is your inspiration in life Brandon? How do you keep inspired?
My parents are big inspirations, as well as a couple of my coaches and mentors I've had throughout my athletic career. I stay inspired by always thinking about what's next for me!
We all make mistakes Brandon; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
There was one time I just got a bad vibe from a photographer and declined to work with him. He ended up becoming a well-known and great photographer. Oops!
Brandon, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
To me, it doesn't matter how many people I'm working with or what the circumstances are. If I commit, I'm following through, and I'm going to give every individual my full effort.
Please tell us, Brandon, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
Every day! As a student, an athlete, and a model, it takes a lot of time management to cram everything in. It's all about planning every part of my day out in advance and staying on task to get everything done.
Brandon, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
Brandon, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
Honestly, my proudest moment was posting my very first picture online for all my friends to see. I had done some work that I didn't tell anyone about, but leaping into being public with it was big for me.
Brandon, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
The other day I did a handstand on the edge of a 14 story building to get the shot I wanted. Creativity or stupidity - you can decide!
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
Hussle! You have to put yourself in front of people (and their cameras). It won't just happen by accident.
