My life is a rollercoaster. I am a single mom of two boys; I run a business, work full time, and am trying to get accepted to grad school. I think what makes all of this possible is my family and my mantra. I believe everything you do should be done to the fullest. I don't believe in doing anything in half measures. I've been a rodeo star and an athlete and an academic. If everyone pushed their limits and opened up their minds, the world would be a different place.
Beth, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
I started as a model with a job off of Craigslist. It sounds sketchy, right? The photographer gave me some really solid insight into the industry and pushed me to be where am I today. I strive to immerse myself in the business whenever possible. My passion is fitness. I love seeing how far I can take my body and show people that they can achieve their health goals. I would love to have my own fitness business one day. I think not enough people are educated about being healthy and loving their bodies for what they are designed to be.
Who is your inspiration in life Beth? How do you keep inspired?
My inspiration in life is my brother. He's a Marine, and I am so proud! As a man in the military, he has truly grown. He has put both his body and mind through so much. It's proof that with the willpower, you can get through anything! It's men with mindsets like his that keep us free. I want to have that kind of impact and be that strong.
We all make mistakes Beth; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
Starting out, there were a couple of photographers I felt like I could have given more too. I let my insecurity get in the way of what could have been some great shots. You have to remember to let loose and keep your head up.
Beth, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
I prioritise by what is in front of me. I make sure my head is wherever the shoot is! If I have a lot of different shoots coming up, I make a to-do list of all the things I need to do to be completely ready for those. Sometimes I even plan it down to the hour. You have to do whatever it takes!
Please tell us, Beth, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
I have spent a lot of time getting used to changing hair and makeup and clothes in cars! You have to be flexible to meet demands.
Beth, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
Usually, this isn't an issue with my photographers. If they have very specific requests, I carry them out. If I see something else I think is beneficial, I ask if I can try something else. I love how easy it is to work with people in the industry in this aspect. Everyone is so open-minded.
Beth, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest accomplishment was my first fashion blog shoot. That made me feel like my hard work had paid off! It was a good feeling to be recognised.
Beth, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
My main photographer turned me loose on a fitness shoot one time after we shot what he needed. It was great getting to play around and do whatever felt right. The pictures were amazing!
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
To be successful as a model, you have to give it you're all. Do all you can whenever you can and listen to advise. No matter what, don't give up and don't lose sight of your goals!
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I'm looking for any collaborations. I love trying new things!
