Hello, I am Benny Troncoso From Arizona. I am 22 years old and pursuing a career in Dance and Modeling. On my journey of chasing my dreams of being a great professional dancer, I found love for fashion and modeling. Through dance, I found an identity and sense of style all my own that I enjoy to blog about on my Instagram. Whenever I am not working at Nordstrom helping other people find their style or teaching dance classes, I model locally on the side.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Benny. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I am the baby of 8 and I come from a family of musicians, my actual first name is Bienvenidos. I was after my Grandfather Bienvenido Troncoso a famous composer from the Dominican Republic. My father to this at 66 years old still play in a band. So music has always had a deep meaning in my life. I may not be able to sing or play instruments like them before me but I can dance and embrace the love of music just as passionate. My body is my instruments and the stage is where I share my stories!

Benny, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

I started as a model by accident really, I was posting one day on Instagram years back and got an offer to model and dance to promote a local artist and photographer. From there I began to network with many other people and before I knew it was shooting with many different artists. I have gotten offers from agencies and studios but wasn't to pursue modeling full time due to my commitments to dance. So now I model and blog as much as I possibly can.

Who is your inspiration in life Benny? How do you keep inspired?

My inspirations in life I'd have to say is Dancer and Choreographer Ian Eastwood. You'd know him from the new show World Of Dance or from his many amazing YouTube videos of his work! He is the greatest example of never giving up on chasing your dreams and always pushing to better yourself no matter how big your name becomes. I admire him for being so humble and for inspiring dance across the world. He is an artistic Genius that I hope to one day catch up too or dance alongside with.

We all make mistakes Benny, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Model, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I once had an issue with photos from a photographer I worked with becoming lost. So I let that go and offered to reshoot but kept getting excuses due to scheduling. I later found out one of my lost pictures was sold to a local businessman who used it to promote things I wasn't comfortable with. Long story short I had arguments about it with the photographer and that ended up getting him to bad mouth me as an artist even though I wasn't at all in the wrong. So I learned my lesson young about creating contracts with people so this won't ever happen again.

Benny, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

I do my best to plan even 2 months in advance to balance out my schedule with everything else so that at the end of the day everyone is happy.

Please tell us, Benny, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

I can't think of one at the moment.

Benny, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
Many times at work I have had clients doubt themselves and their choices of styles. I tend to be as honest as possible with people when asked my opinion. I can say I've had people see my way more often then you would think due too the fact that I love fashion and my job is to help them find their passion for it too.

Benny, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
One of my proudest moments was probably being featured on Andrew Marc's Instagram fashion page with a photo and recognition for my blogging and for representing his brand in a great way with my personal style!

Benny, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I was once able to take charge of the model and pick the location of my shoot and all my outfits. It was a young photographer that need help getting started so with my experience I taught him how to Direct models and how to play with scenery options.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?

Just keep going and don't be afraid to experiment with different styles looks and networking are big, so promote and share your ideas. You'll never know who may come across your work, take chances and opportunities will follow.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands, and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I am just looking for more opportunities to collaborate with brands and creative people. Weather its promotional or artistic opportunities I would just love to do more and take my career further.
