Hi! My name is Ben De La Fuente and I’m a 20-year-old male model and actor from the UK. I grew up just South of London so I know the city quite well and love going into the city center. I currently study Environmental Science at Cardiff University so spend a lot of time in Cardiff city center too. I’ve been professionally modeling for nearly 6 months now and am more passionate than ever to advertise products and brands on my Instagram account. I’m also a fitness enthusiast and exercise daily whether it be lifting weights in the gym or playing sports for University like Football, Cricket or Rugby. In addition, I carefully watch my diet to ensure my body is in the best condition it can be. Fashion is also a deep passion of mine and I try to be as diverse as possible with my fashion tastes. I do a lot of traveling and have been to many countries around the world and had shots taken of me in places such as Portugal, Italy, and Bali. So if you’re looking for a British and European ambassador to advertise your brand and products, look no further as I have many followers on Instagram whom can see tagged photos of your merchandise instantly.

Best regards,

Ben De La Fuente

Our readers would love to get to know you more Ben. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

Hi everyone! My name is Ben De La Fuente and I’m a British male model based in London and Cardiff. The first thing you may notice about me is that my surname doesn’t sound very British. In fact, my surname is of Spanish origin and translates in English to ‘Of The Fountain’. However, I was born and raised in England, but that hasn’t stopped me from traveling elsewhere. I have been to 5 separate continents in my life which included countries such as Italy, France, Australia, America, Egypt and much of South-East Asia. I had the pleasure of witnessing many different and diverse cultures of countries from the temples of Angkor Wat in Cambodia to the angelic serenity of the Alps mountain range in Austria. Despite this, my thirst for traveling hasn’t been quenched yet and I’m always planning the next adventure. If you want to see some pictures from my modeling and travels around the world, feel free to visit my Instagram page ben.delafuente and give it a follow and DM me if you have any questions!

Best regards,

Ben De La Fuente

Ben, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

I’m very passionate about my image and how I look on a daily basis. Whether that be my fashion sense, hairstyle or physique, I like to make sure I’m 100% happy and in what I look like. And that’s how my enthusiasm for modeling came about, I’ve always felt comfortable in front of a camera and it gave me a chance to express myself and become more diverse in my image.

Who is your inspiration in life Ben? How do you keep inspired?

My greatest inspiration has to be my family as they have always been there for me and supported me through everything in life. I just want to make them proud.

We all make mistakes Ben, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Model, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
During one shoot in London, I tried to give some advice to a fellow colleague of mine on how to act in front of the camera. However, I came across as much more mean and patronizing than I intended, whereas how I should’ve handled it was to provide more constructive feedback that they could consider instead of telling them what to do.

Ben, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

I always try to make time for all my clients, however, if there is simply not enough time to satisfy everyone then I will always stick with people who I know very well and am very keen to stay loyal to. I believe in loyalty and sticking with clients who you know won’t let you down.

Please tell us, Ben, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

When I had 3 separate outside shoots in one day in London, I had to make sure I made the locations of these shoots to be a close enough distance to each other so that I wouldn’t lose too much time commuting to each one. Therefore I could spend more time taking photos and less time traveling between.

Ben, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I was in Cardiff with a friend of mine who does photography and we were doing a shoot at a lake. My friend wanted to stay on the edge of the lake for the whole shoot, however, I persuaded him to venture out to the middle of the lake on a boat with me where we found a cute little island to take a great shot with the sunset in the background.

Ben, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
I am still a relatively inexperienced model thus far so my list of achievements isn’t as long as I hope it will eventually be. However, my proudest moment is climbing over 3000 feet in the Italian alps to reach the top of a mountain in order to take some incredible nature shots. It was a lot of hard work (approximately 8 hours of hiking total) and it was very memorable.

Ben, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
When I was in Portugal, the swimming pool of the hotel I was staying in had a diving board. I decided to get a few shots taken of me while jumping/flipping off the diving board! It was a lot of fun and very thrilling, but also difficult to get the right poses and shots while in midair.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?

I would say don’t give up. It takes a lot of time and hard work to make a name for yourself in the modeling industry and you should never stop trying to get the best shot.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands, and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes, I’m very much looking for any fashion brands that want me to advertise their merchandise for them and possibly represent them as a brand. I’m also open to the possibility of collaborating with other models out there with a similar style and vision to me.

Now for the best part Ben! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work.
