I am a Eurasian plus-size model. I have walked in runways in both the Philippines and Norway. My two home countries. I have work with Cosmopolitan Magazine Philippines.
I love modelling, and fashion styling is an inborn talent that I am proud of. Most of the photoshoots I am doing lately is by my styling.
I am always on a lookout for new challenges and model agencies that love to create something different and out of the ordinary. Wanna know more about me?
Feel free to ask more and contact me... 😄
Our readers would love to get to know you more Barbara. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer?
What's unique about me is my unbeatable spirit and my confidence.
I refuse to give up on my dreams for in every thousand of no there will be one yes, and it will be worth it.
Barbara, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
Since I was a child, I have always wanted to model. When I tried as a model in my teen years, I had begun having a curvy body and had no luck in the industry. I wanted to change myself to fit the industry's standard but still nothing. So instead I focused on getting to know myself and build my confidence from within. That's when I had my luck with modelling. I won a plus-size model search in the Philippines and got to work with amazing clients. That's when I discovered that being you is the key to shine. 😉 Now I am a curvy model always looking for new challenges and amazing people to work with.
Who is your inspiration in life Barbara? How do you stay inspired as Model?
My inspiration in life is my daughter and all the chubby little girls out there that feels they need to change just to fit in and ve called beautiful...
I want to show them that despite imperfections we can feel beautiful while working on ourselves. 😊
We all make mistakes Barbara; we wish we could take back. What was the error you made in the past that you want to you can bring back?
That I should have taken more care of my body and loved it for how it was, instead of forcing it to be something it is not.
Barbara, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients?
I am very professional, and I embrace criticism cause it is one of the ways we learn. Even when you have already achieved something, it is best to work as hard still..
Please tell us, Barbara, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family?
Balance is a critical cause time is the most expensive payment in the world. There is no refund... Time management is a must.
Barbara, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
When I was working with this big clothing brand, and the client asked my honest opinion about the clothes, and I told her the truth. I was scared, but she appreciated my honesty that we worked more from there. She even said I was her favourite plus model.
Barbara, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model.
When my family n friends saw my billboards on SM supermalls all over the Philippines...
Barbara, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it?
As a model, I believe you have to be a chameleon. You have been prepared to work with the client's idea to make it work.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?*
Moreover, practice inner confidence for it is the key to make your beauty shine like a star.
