I am a realist. I love different things and different people. I find joy in travelling, dancing, modelling, as well as learning about new things. I like to see the beauty in everything as well as everyone!
Aysia, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
I started as a model by doing small-town fashion shows. My goal is to a small time model but a big-time dancer. I was able to show off all my talents during my first big-time modelling gig.
Who is your inspiration in life Aysia? How do you keep inspired?
I lost my father at the age of 19. He was my true inspiration. He always told me to follow my dreams and live up to my potential. He was my biggest fan and knowing that he would have wanted me to keep following my dreams makes me want to make them a reality even more.
We all make mistakes Aysia; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
Honestly, there hasn't been an incident like that yet. Not saying that it can't happen in the future, but I am good at dealing with bad situations. I am not quick to anger, and I like to make sure that everyone is happy that I am working with. I don't like to inconvenience anyone.
Aysia, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
Scheduling is everything. Having a plan or a map helps keep everything on schedule as well as keeping things from colliding.
Please tell us Aysia, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
I remember it got pretty hectic in the beginning. I was scheduled to be on the set of Empire for an entire day until really early the next day. There was not much time for sleep because I had a photoshoot in a couple of hours. Prior packing and extra care were needed to successfully give 100% at both events.
Aysia, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
I consider myself new to modelling because I have only been doing so for a year. That being said, I have not yet had an event like this happen yet.
Aysia, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest accomplishment as a model has been when a car photographer decided to shoot me as his first model. It sounds pretty plain, but I felt as if my modelling made him try new things and he ended up being good. It led him to shoot other models, and he gets more recognition. I am just happy that I was able to help someone else become good at new things.
Aysia, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
It has not happened yet, but I was able to come up with a new photoshoot idea. A photographer I know found it interesting and hopefully it goes well!
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
My advice would be to just go for it. Never sell yourself short and just put 100% in it. Even though there are lots of influences on how a model should be, focus on being yourself and showing the world that you're beautiful!
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes, any collaboration would be great. I am willing to try new things and am open to new ideas.
