Hello, everyone!
My name is Autumn Pawelec, and I am an upcoming model from Pittsburgh, PA! I graduated from the California University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations. I am a full-time Recruiter specializing in the IT industry which I find to be fascinating. The way I got into the modeling world was I was found locally in my hometown by Duane Gazi-White, who is the Director of New Faces and Talent for New York Model Management. I’ve started my modeling career back in April 2017 and hope for it to remain continuous as it has turned out to be a passion of mine!

Our readers would love to get to know you more Autumn. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

What is something that is unique to me, is that not only can I model, I can also speak different computer coding languages from simply learning through the professionals that I talk to on a daily basis!

Autumn, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

My passion and aspiration in life when it comes to modeling is to let every woman out there that you ARE beautiful, no matter what shape or size you are. We all have different talents and beauties that make each one of us unique. I want all women to let that shine through and show the world their confidence! How I got started in modeling was I was approached by the Director or New Face and Talent for New York Model Management (Duane) and asked if I would ever want to pursue a career in modeling. It was one of the best experiences of my life thus far!

Who is your inspiration in life Autumn? How do you keep inspired?

The way I keep motivated to continue to do what I do when it comes to modeling is to keep following/listening to Ashley Graham who is a plus-size model like myself. She is so confident and keeps me motivated daily to never give up on my dream!

We all make mistakes Autumn; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
During a shoot of mine, one of the photographers wanted to shoot some images that I preferably did not want to do. I simply just sat down with them, and explained my reasoning for my decision and tried to come to a middle ground where we would both be satisfied.

Autumn , when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

Well, working a full-time job Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on top of modeling can make things very difficult. I try to prioritize my schedule to conduct sessions after work or on the weekends so that way I can deliver my best talents and efforts to each client.

Please tell us, Autumn, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

There was one week where I had sessions each day after work, how I kept my priorities so that week was simply utilizing my lunch breaks to either do my makeup/hair or go over e-mails and such so that each photographer could be notified.

Autumn, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I believe that persuading isn’t always the answer. It’s about the flow of communication between the photographer and the model. If the channels of communication are consistently open and flowing, each idea should get shared and discussed properly.

Autumn, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest moment as a Model was when I was given the opportunity to go to NYC to get my test shots done. I worked with some of the most amazing photographers in the city, and it was such an amazing experience. One that I will treasure for the rest of my life!

Autumn, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
During one of my sessions, I had the opportunity to sit down and edit some of my photos with the photographer. It was very exciting to see all of the work/efforts that they put into making a shot stand out from the rest!

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?

If I could give anyone starting out as a Model advice of any kind, it would be never to give up, let that confidence shine through, and have fun with every shoot!

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Honestly, I am extremely open to all talents, brands, and creatives to collaborate with! The more different minds I get to work with, the better!

Now for the best part Autumn! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work.
