I love photography. I started as a hobbyist. As more of my friends and family have asked me to take their portrait, I moved more into professional photography.
Ashley, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?
I loved photography since I was in middle school but I started taking landscape images in high school. My passion is nature; I love just escaping into nature and clicking away. Right now I do more portrait photography. I LOVE my client's reaction when they see their images.
Who is your inspiration in life Ashley? How do you keep inspired?
My kids. I want to look through my camera the way they look at life: Innocent, Seeing and just taking everything in.
We all make mistakes Ashley; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Photographer; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I wouldn't say a colleague as I mostly work by myself and clients. I do wish when I started hiring the second shooter I knew more of the "standard" practices.
Ashley, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
I normally delivery to the hiring client. But I try and make everyone happy and look good. I definitely treat them the way I'd want to be treated.
Please tell us, Ashley, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?
I have to prioritise my home life and my work life. I have to edit at night when everyone is asleep. Sometimes I have to wait until the crunch time, but I try to edit a few images a night to keep me from stressing.
Ashley, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
I don't think I've ever had to do that other than letting clients know kids will be kids and enjoy the moment.
Ashley, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
When a client cried because how much she liked her images.
Ashley, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
When my best friend and I shot boudoir and I really just got to play and be creative.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?
If you don't get what you're going for keep trying until you perfect it. In my experience, you'll never be 100% Happy with your work, and that's ok because it keeps you growing as a photographer.b
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I'm always looking to try something new. It's my favourite thing to do, challenge myself.
