There are many things I'd say that is unique about in comparison with other models in the industry, for 1 I'm a UK size 14 and very small chested so neither your traditional glamour, fashion or plus size shape. 2 I'm epileptic, I was diagnosed with epilepsy in my late teens. Being epileptic does through many obstacles in my way, but I actively try to overcome them. For example, I've had photographers set up in my front room rather than travel to a studio (due to me not being able to drive or travel alone) and still created outstanding images! 3. I'm very open about my mental health problems and very passionate about spreading mental health awareness, in August this year I assisted with organising a charity swimsuit calendar shoot where all funds raised will be donated to the charity MIND.

Annabel, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

My passion is helping others. Trying to make a change, breaking taboos and getting people speaking and communicating especially when it comes to mental health!

Who is your inspiration in life Annabel? How do you keep inspired?

Wow, that's such a HUGE question. I guess I don't have just one inspiration there's so many. I mean I look at my friends and loved ones around me and all they overcome every day and how hard they work day to day at doing what they do, whether a full-time mum, engineer
or business owner, for example, every one of them have wowed me and in some way or another inspired me!

We all make mistakes Annabel; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.

Erm, I don't know to be honest. Like obviously there's been many mistakes I've made in my life (as we all do) but modelling wise I've been very lucky!

Annabel, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?

I'd say keep notes, make sure you communicate as much as possible with your clients and make sure you put any agreed details of the shoot, e.g.. props, makeup, outfit next to the booking in your diary or on your calendar

Please tell us, Annabel, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

I'm quite a chilled and relaxed model and do not shoot very regularly due to my health and other commitments so because of that when I do have a shoot I'm able to give it 100% and prioritise it.

Annabel, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.

Once a photographer asked me to shoot nude (which hadn't been arranged or discussed prior), I explained to him that this was t agreed for the shoot but also showed him that by shoot up to implied we would still get just as amazing if not better shots.

Annabel, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

First time I was published. It just made me feel like, "yes you can do this. " I felt like at last I had been seen as a model and not for my disability.

Annabel, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

My favourite moment had to be organising the shoot for our charity calendar, brainstorming all the ideas and finally seeing it all come together

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?

Be yourself!
