I am the type of person that loves a challenge, whether it be using my brain or physically challenging myself with fitness and modeling.
I have many other hobbies, such as:
My goal is to build the best version of myself to achieve all my passions and goals. I want to encourage those that are struggling with themselves to build more confidence and be the best version of themselves. Alongside with this, I hope to pursue modeling more to create content that is unique and beautiful.
Angeline, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as Influencer?
My passions in life are modeling and fitness. I first started with fitness. I became curious about fitness as a hobby because I was bored.
However, as time went by, my body started to change, and my confidence began to strengthen. I felt healthier, more confident, and happier. As I became more passionate about it, others also began to see it and became encouraged as well. Because of that, it became a goal for me to help encourage those to be motivated and to be their best self.
As I became more involved with fitness and gained more confidence in myself, I started to try out modeling. I worked with local photographers and with some fashion brands. In the beginning, I did not realize how hard modeling is. Being in front of a camera, you HAVE to be confident in your facial expressions and your body, or else the picture will come off "stiff" and "posed." Being able to express me through pictures is such an amazing thing. It shows me how far I've come as a person and how much I've grown as an individual. To this day, I still pursue modeling opportunities and always strive to keep growing.
Who is your inspiration in life Angeline? How do you stay inspired as an Influencer?
As conceded as this sounds, my inspiration is myself. Seeing how far I've grown and how much I've changed is so encouraging. I grew up with a very depressing childhood and was never really confident in myself, my body, or my ability to succeed. I was not social, and I used to be scared of talking to people. I always stayed in my room and was never really active at all. I came from parents that have always been separated and struggled with insecurities and depression.
However, by having the "want" to change, I forced myself to be more social. In high school, I enrolled in drama and choir to help me to face my fears of socializing with people and being in front of people. I forced myself to go out more and talk to people that I was not familiar with. In college, I took up bodybuilding, which later on became a passion. This helped me physically and mentally, which boosted up my self-esteem and happiness. I chose "engineering" as my major in college and stuck through all the sleepless nights and studied hard to prove to myself that I have the ability to be successful. I took up modeling, which helped me gain confidence in myself. And because I gained all of these positive traits, I began becoming more involved with social media influencing.
Although it wasn't easy, I completely transformed myself into someone that looked forward to challenging myself every day to achieve my goals.
I strive to keep on challenging myself to keep growing and improving so that I am able to motivate and inspire those who are struggling with self-identity.
We all make mistakes Angeline; we wish we could take back. What was the mistake you made in the past that you wish you can take back?
I do not regret anything that has happened to me or anything that I have done with my life. I believe that everything happens for a reason, and with everything that has happened to me, I have learned to appreciate what I have, who I have in my life, what I have earned, and what I have accomplished. Without all the obstacles I've had in my life, I wouldn't know hard it is to have what I have today.
Therefore, I would not take back anything that I have done to date.
Angeline, How do you describe yourself in terms of working with clients?
When working with clients, I would describe myself as supportive, encouraging, truthful, real, and I push clients to show them the strength and abilities that they think they don't have.
Please tell us, Angeline, how do you prioritize work, social life, friends, and family?
With the schedule that I have now, I work full time- Monday-Friday.
During the week, my daily schedule typically looks like this:
-Wake up, go to work (8-9 hrs)
-Go to the Gym
-Prep my Meals for the next day
-Go through emails, Maintain Social Media
-Go to sleep
Weekends are usually the days that I utilize to visit family, visit friends, go hiking, do photoshoots, travel, catch up on social media work, work on my hobbies, and clean and maintain my house.
If I were to make plans during the week, after I get off from work, I would sacrifice the gym to be able to do those plans. By sacrificing the gym, I will use that time that I've used during the week and work out over the weekend to replace the missed day.
Life is all about how you manage your time, and not to waste the time that you have. It is important to me to always stay motivated and keep working hard towards my goals and maintaining my social life as well.
Angeline, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
A time when I was able to successfully able to persuade someone to see things my way at work:
A team member has left a job without notice to her supervisor and often gets into arguments with other team members. This team member was a very hard worker when she was working.
Although she was a hard worker, it was not okay to not let management know when she is leaving work, and it is not okay to get into arguments and make others feel uncomfortable.
Therefore, in order to help her realize the impact that she was having to the company, I talked with her and, most respectfully and collaboratively, helped her recognize her faults and the impact that it has on others. I would give examples and help express the concern of her actions.
With this, it will give her a different perspective, rather than just seeing things from just her perspective.
Angeline, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as an Influencer.
My proudest professional accomplishments as a model are all the creative and unique content that I was able to make, along with meeting so many talented and amazing people.
Angeline, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
For a photoshoot that I have done at Red Rock Canyon, CA, I had the challenge of:
-Being able to come up with different poses using the scenery and rocks around me
-Different ways of using light for dramatic effect
-Shooting with different angles
-Being creative with my hairstyle/ makeup
-Picking out wardrobe
-Picking out jewelry
-Modeling with a serious and dramatic expression
By being creative with all the resources that I had, I was able to work with the photographer to create content that was different and unique.
It was exciting because we were able to create content that was original, creative, scenic, and beautiful.
It was challenging because we had to figure out the best location, figure out what wardrobe works best, figure out what hairstyle works best, figure out the makeup design that works best, and work with the different lighting to create different content, and not just a "typical" picture.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as an Influencer?
Advice that I would give to the people who want to be successful as a model is loved yourself and love what you do. Don't do it because you want to be "known," but do it because it is something that you love.
Be confident in yourself, work with the best photographers, appreciate the journey, and always stay creative with each shoot that you do.
