Angel, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
My passions in life are modelling, acting and helping others.I aspire to be a steady working, and well-known model and actress. I would also like to help and inspire people to be their best selves.I started modelling at the age of six in a local runway show. I stopped for a while and got more interested in acting but an industry professional re-opened my eyes and renewed my love of modelling at a talent showcase a few years ago, and I have been working to get myself back out there ever since.
Who is your inspiration in life Angel? How do you keep inspired?
I stay inspired by having the determination to fulfil my goals. I look at photographer portfolio's and getting ideas for new looks; I look at fashion magazines and shows/documentaries, I view friends posts on Instagram.Of course, there are models that I love, but my mom inspires me the most. She encourages me, teaches me, and shows me how to be a good person. She may not be a fashion model, but she is my role model.
We all make mistakes Angel; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
Honestly, I always make it a point to be patient, gracious, and polite, no matter the situation. The only model related situation I can think of forgets my portfolio once for an audition. I wish I had been more careful in gathering my materials, but it makes me double and triple check that I have everything.
Angel, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
I stay calm and patient and take it one step at a time. I try to live by a first come, first serve motto, so if possible I would bring that to a busy shoot as well.
Please tell us, Angel, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
I have to be strategic every day to fit everything into the day in a timely matter. As a model, I need to make sure I have my submissions completed, take time to workout and be healthy, and still have time for friends and family, time to be me. When I leave the house on a particularly busy day, I make sure everything I need is packed for the day, including some healthy snacks to keep me going, and I usually make a schedule for the day. If there is ever a time when things aren't going according to plan, I make the proper notifications and do my best to stay on schedule.
Angel, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
I try to stay calm and express myself. One example would be at a photo shoot, asking to try this pose or that outfit instead of one that was suggested. I ask, and I make sure it is the right time to ask. Patience, tact, and respect go a long way,
Angel, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest accomplishment as a model was walking in LAFW last year. There were many models at the audition, and to have been chosen out of everyone, and for such a big deal show, it was so exciting.
Angel, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I can be creative when I do photo shoots because I can play with what poses I do or the expressions I make. It is exciting and fun.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
Be patientBe determined and don't take no for a "final" answerTake care of yourselfWork hardListen, learn, watchBe gratefulHave fun.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes, it is always fun to meet new people and work with others to make magic. I am willing to meet and collaborate with anyone. I would especially like to meet/collaborate with photographers, brands that want me for a shoot, and agencies.
