Our readers would love to get to know you more Amy. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?
I believe the unique thing about me is that I am a curvy petite model. Even though I don't fit "standards" I am still aiming to be the best of the best. I want to not only inspire others but to set an example. I will be stopping that runway soon enough.
Amy, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
My passion in life is to give back to people. Whether it's a message or physical action I want to impact people's lives. I started modeling suddenly, a photographer posted looking for models and I said: "Hey why not me?" And sent her a message. So it goes from there.
Who is your inspiration in life Amy? How do you keep inspired?
My inspiration is definitely my mother. She has set such a strong message for me. She is truly the definition of a fighter and I can only hope to be half the woman she is. I keep inspired in so many ways. If you open your eyes to the world you can find inspiration almost everywhere. I usually find it in hardworking people.
We all make mistakes Amy, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Model, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I wish I would've handled staying in contact with people better. Being a model you need all the connections you can get to grow and sometimes I fail to realize that.
Amy, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
You definitely have to strive to keep your clients happy. Doing the most necessary things first and always staying in contact.
Please tell us, Amy, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
Definitely when managing shoots and regular life I have to be strategic. My planner keeps me going!
Amy, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I try to describe a clear image to them. I definitely only voice things when I know magic can happen.
Amy, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest moment was at the end of 2016. When I looked back at everything I did in one year and how much I grew as a person.
Amy, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I have done so many crazy shots. One of my very first ones was a milk bath shoot and I was so proud I stepped outside of my comfort zone because the photos were well worth it.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
Put yourself out there! Don't be afraid of talking to people first and definitely do not doubt your capabilities.
