I'm a transwoman, wife and mother of two. Originally from Jacksonville FL, I moved to LA at nineteen and met my wife, before enlisting in the in the Army where I served as an infantryman.
Allysa, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
Before transitioning, I hated having my picture taken. So it's very empowering now to not only love my image but to make it a part of a piece of art. I started modelling by answering an ad on a whim without much of actually getting selected.
Who is your inspiration in life Allysa? How do you keep inspired?
My family but my wife especially, I admire and love her taste in so many things but especially her opinion on beauty and fashion, so between that and the plethora of obscure and amazing music she introduced me to she's by far my biggest inspiration.
We all make mistakes Allysa; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I haven't had a bad encounter yet.
Allysa, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
I rely on my background and experience in the military when it comes to managing multiple deadlines as multitasking and delivering a high quality of work was always the standard that was expected.
Please tell us Allysa, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
With my spouse and I both working as well as having two small children being strategic to meet my priorities as a model is a daily activity.
Allysa, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
Anytime I smile.
Allysa, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
I think the first time I walked the runway at a fashion show. The rush and exhilaration are unforgettable.
Allysa, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I think I've been really lucky as most designers and photographers I've worked with so far have allowed me a level of creative independence.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I'm open to any and all collaboration. I love doing different and exciting projects.
