"I am also inspired by everyone who's pass by in my life. People have so many stories to tell or differences that make me think."
Name: Alizee Lutz

About: I studied art and literature at Paul Cezanne in Aix En Provence, France. I started doing photography in 2009 and was 1st in my class for the year 2009/2010.
I had my first photography exposition in Saint Tropez - Summer 2010.
I moved to Paris in 2011 to start my fashion photography career. I started at the bottom and was shooting for fashion schools and fashion shows. I continued to build my portfolio and my experience for three years in Paris. In 2014, I finally moved to Los Angeles and was working full time as a freelance artist working for quite a few designers and clothing shops. Today I'm 26 years old and hungry to move forward, I'm ready to work, give everything I have in me, and get to my objectives.
My specialisations are:
-fashion and editorial
Tell us something about yourself. What you do, passion and aspiration in life?: I grew up on a ranch and been riding horse my entire life, I have my own horse and spend all my free time at the ranch here, my inspiration can come from everything but the nature, the canyons and natural light are my main inspiration.
Who is your inspiration in life? How do you keep inspired?: Karl Lagerfeld! I just keep listening to him and look at his work as he was a god. But I am also inspired by everyone who's pass by in my life. People have so many stories to tell or differences that make me think.
What is your aspiration in life?: Does "life" works?
What is the most challenging part of your profession?: When I need to work 8h in my studio by myself, alone... And show my work to the world, been exposed.
We all make mistakes we wish we could take back. Tell me about a time you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.: Back in France, I will be hired for my physical appearances and not be respected for who I am... To handle this situation, I became my own boss.
When you’re working with a large number of customers, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. How do you go about prioritising your customers’ needs?: When I have more than two or three customers that want work done in the same time I set up a day of when I will shoot and when I will edit with them. And work hard to make it happen and not be late. If they know when they will get their photos and get it as planed, they are happy customers.
Tell me about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities.: I'm a really organised person, so I never had to be really strategic ... I'm a fast and hard worker I was never late on my delivery ... If I'm over the book when a customer call I will book him the day after I know, I will be done with my other projects.
Give me an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.: I show them prove that my way is better and explain that they hire me to be professional, but always give them a choice between my way and theirs, usually, they do the right choice.
Tell me about your proudest professional accomplishment.: If I get to work with you, that will be my proudest accomplishment! If not then maybe the day I arrived in America, and only one email was enough for me to find a job in photography.
How old do you have to be before it can be said you died of old age?: That's a great question! I wish my answer could never be and stay young in my head for ever! But will see when I turn 80.
Do glow-in-the-dark objects stop glowing when somebody turns the lights on?: 🤔
If parents say, “Never take candy from strangers” then why do we celebrate Halloween?: You just killed Halloween 😭 Or just give me the candies my parents don't mind!
If one man says, “it was an uphill battle,” and another says, “it went downhill from there,” how could they both be having troubles?: I say "oops I missed the fight I was waiting in the parking lot."
