Something that makes me unique would have to be that I am a very kind and uplifting person , I tend always to make people smile especially in awkward/new situations for an example while I was shooting for a clothing line the designer had a drastic mood change I asked her what was wrong she said she started to feel really discouraged in her work ( this was before we started shooting ) I sat her down and told her to never give up in what she believes in others will understand and some won't it's not up to them to decide but it's up to her as a designer to work hard for what she believes in and not to let people that are Hating Get her off her path. So, in other words, I'm a very caring/ understanding person I hate to see people unhappy

Alia, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

My first passion was cooking I'm going to be quite honest. I went to culinary school in, and I was happy but still felt like something was missing. I started off modelling when no one believed I could do it they used to say you to big ( fat) to model, or you're too short. No one believed I could amount to the dreams I had for my self. Then as I got older, I started eating better ( lost 60 pounds ) and being more outgoing. The first time I ever did a photo shoot it was because the photographer felt that I had a look he came up to me and asked if he could take photos of me, from then on we continued to shoot, and I got more comfortable in my skin so, in other words, I started not sure if I could really do it ( listening to people ) and it only took that one photographer to help me realize my worth as a person and who I am and who I aspire to be and who I want to the world to see

Who is your inspiration in life Alia? How do you keep inspired?

This might come off weird to come, but my biggest inspiration is the virgin queen Elizabeth, never backing down from a fight, flawless, strong-willed, knows what she wants and very independent

We all make mistakes Alia; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.

Honestly I've never really been put in any situation that I always go into my jobs and shoots with an open mind I avoid situations like that , I don't see the need for it , don't get me wrong if the photographer or people that I'm working with did something to me that was either uncalled for or unnecessary I would calmly talk to them and work out the situation making it so that no one goes home angry ( why burn bridges over things that could be easily fixed )

Alia, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?

Being organised helps allot, I am able to multitask, I believe in sharing and understanding what exactly they want and are looking for helps also

Please tell us, Alia, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

When juggling my chef jobs ( eating a lot of food ) and staying in shape for my shoots, it became a tug of war between sturdy income and income that made me happy

Alia, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.

Other than explaining things and why things make sense I tend to be an, so I think of every possible outcome to things ( also why I’m so understanding ) for someone to see things my way I just have to explain why it makes sense or I build off their ideas to make something bigger and better most of the time to all the time we both agree

Alia, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

My first time I got published was my proudest moment. It proved to people who didn’t believe in me that what I was doing wasn’t a waste of time, it also proved to me that my hard work had paid off ( a sign of relieve

Alia, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

I'm usually always creative with my work from what I'm wearing to how I look to the concepts that are given I'd say the only difficulty would be not owning something that could be used for a look, but that it's self isn't a big issue

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?

Never give up, doesn't matter what people tell you, listen to your heart because at the end of the day your happiness is worth more
