I carry over an urban hippie style. With a love of alternative country music.
Alexis, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Fashion Stylist?
I started as a fashion stylist when I let go of what society told me to wear. Living in a small conservative town my style hasn't been easily accepted by the older generation. In the future, I hope to encourage everyone to be nothing but exactly who they are. And if they don't know help them find out.
Who is your inspiration in life Alexis? How do you keep inspired?
The most inspirational person to me would be Ernest Hemingway. Not only is he my favourite author but he understood the true meaning of life. So like Ernest Hemingway, I find inspiration by surrounding myself with the most interesting people. And if the person near you isn't then finding the most interesting thing about them!
We all make mistakes Alexis; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Fashion Stylist; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I wish that I would have realised that a battle won is also a battle lost.
Alexis, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Fashion Stylist, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
I would have to say by staying punctual and keeping great communication
Please tell us, Alexis, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Fashion Stylist?
My very first client made me consider quitting the fashion industry. At that time I didn't know how to bring out who that person was.
Alexis, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
This would be when someone who is very body conscious is nervous to try something on. I love when I can Persuade them to trust my instincts and enjoy the ride!
Alexis, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Fashion Stylist. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest moment would be when I was accepted as a stylist. Not just a wannabe.
Alexis, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I try to be creative with all my work. The most difficult for me is to try fitting my style into someone else's
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Fashion Stylist?
Just follow your heart. And never let society change who you are.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I enjoy the warm earthy vibes. Like a modern hippie/ bohemian style
