A little about me is I'm 20 from a small town in Tennessee called Bristol I lived there all my life until I turned 18 and then I moved to Huntington Beach California to become a model. It's always been a dream of mine to become a model I remember growing up wishing I had opportunity's and now living in Cali I finally have the chance to reach my dream!
Alexis, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
I first became serious about my modelling career when I moved out to California. I finally had the chance to work with photographers, and from there on I've been building my portfolio. I'm extremely passionate about my modelling because of its great way for me to feel free and express myself.
Who is your inspiration in life Alexis? How do you keep inspired?
My inspiration is my boyfriend Jonas he keeps me focused on what I need to get done and work on. He's always there for me and knows just what to do to help me succeed.
We all make mistakes Alexis; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I honestly haven't had a time where mistakes were made.
Alexis, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
I find out what they want and need from me, then from there I use my tools and perform to the best of my abilities.
Please tell us, Alexis, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
I honestly haven't had a time in my modelling career where I had to be strategic
Alexis, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
I'd have to say when I was a sales associate at Lowes I had to persuade my coworker to stack the cardboard my way because we could stack them pretty high and get a lot done in a short amount of time.
Alexis, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
I'd have to say when I booked my first fashion show; it was a swimsuit show at Venice beach. It was such an amazing experience, and I made some long-term friends.
Alexis, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I loved when I worked at Lowes/Sherwin Williams because we had these paint cans called "miss-tints" and pretty much that means that the can of paint had been tinted to the wrong color, so my manager would let me make any color I wanted to with the miss-tints then when I was done I'd have to make swatches on paper and it was really fun and kind of a stress reliever.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
First thing first finds a good photographer that is open to your ideas, from there continue to build your portfolio the way you want it to look but also keep in mind the agencies you want to go to and build your portfolio based on what they're looking for as well.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes, I am looking for collabs with other talent/brands. I'd enjoy swimsuit, runway, high fashion, editorial, and commercial
