Our readers would love to get to know you more Alexandra. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer?
What makes us unique is that each piece is unique, due to the fact, for example, that the prints on every cowhide are different, always a different pattern, always a different shade, nature is unique, out clients are unique and so are our products
Alexandra, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Fashion Label?
We were inspired to start making accessories after not finding what we were looking for on the regular stores, we wanted something edgier but at the same time classic, something a little bit country a little bit rock and roll.
Who is your inspiration in life Alexandra? How do you stay inspired as Fashion Label?
What inspires us, is the everyday person that isn’t finding what they are looking for in department stores. Pieces that represent their personalities and it inspires us to create unique statements pieces for them.
We all make mistakes Alexandra; we wish we could take back. What was the mistake you made in the past that you wish you can take back?
We tried to expand at the end of 2017 with a new line, while it was something we enjoyed, it wasn't for our core audience and was taking us in a completely different direction. That's why we decided to stop it and go back to what our customers love about us.
Alexandra, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients?
We are a brand that focuses on customer service first, our clients are the life blood of out company, without them we wouldn't be in business, so our priority is to listen to them, to their needs, requests and ideas, whether is a store owner who stocks our products or an end customers who love the brand and makes suggestions.
Please tell us, Alexandra, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family?
It intermingles a lot, a lot of our clients have become friends and a lot of our friends wear our products, we strive to make the beat products we can because family and friends tend to use em. Working on this more often than not feels like not working so we tend to socialize a lot with store owners, our photographers, models and clients. Whats the point of working on something you don't enjoy right?
Alexandra, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
A lot of the time boutique owners are afraid to carry some of our products, due to the fact they don't know how their clients will react to it, they love it but they don't know if their clients will love it as much as they do, so after explaining our exchange policy they usually take a leap of faith and try us, everytime their clients end up loving it, we arent a brand who is for everybody, but those who like is really reaaaaaally like us.
Alexandra, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Fashion Label.
We started with no capital and only 10 wallets less than 2 years ago, and with a lot of effort we have been able to expand nationally and internationally... I don't think success comes with one big win... its a lot of little everyday successes that you build something long-lasting, little by little it compounds to become one big accomplishment.
Alexandra, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
Well... we manufacture everything in the USA using small artisanal shops, so it has its limitations, it limits us on the things we can do and the way they are done, so we have to create with that in mind, its challenging but at the same time very rewarding when your product is finally done are ready for the market.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Fashion Label?*
Your success It has very little to do with how creative you are , I mean, you have to start with a good idea to begin with, but its the process of taking it to market, all the things that involves the manufacturing, the relationships you have to create and mantain with everybody in your diatribution line, listening to clients and end customers, listening to manufacturers, all that takes a lot of consistency, effort, patience and desication, its not a 9 to 5 job, its more like a 24/7 lifestyle, but if you enjoy it, are persistant, ethical and fair with everybody then you will ultimately be very successful in everyway.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
We are always looking to collaborate , in this industry everybody knows everybody and everybody helps everybody... a lot of people helped us in yhe begining by introducing us to people, by giving us advice on things we didnt know, whenever someone asks us now for something whether is something about sourcing materials or manufacturing or getting things into store we usually try to help because someone else helped us in the beginning and we still dont knkw a lot of things so people are still helping us .. theres always a next step to reach and you dont know those things so you always had to ask for help and through collaborationa with other designers, photographers, models, stores, shows is that we have been able to learn and grow as a brand, it takes a lot of people and knowledge to build something, and we are always open to getting it wherever it may come from.
