Firstly Alesha, how would you best describe yourself?
Aleshaplease tell us your talent/work rate per hour?
Alesha. Tell us ABOUT yourself.
I am a DC native who lived in 5 different states before the age of 16. After graduating high school, I became a one-week college dropout (LOL).
I enlisted in the US Navy for four years where I served as an Undesignated Seaman, Security Patrolman, and ultimately a Quartermaster. Once I left the military, I rediscovered my interest in hair! I love learning about hair and styling, and new ways to create shapes and textures and sculptures. Hair colour is another thing that has always fascinated me.
I also love music, nature, and all things art. I love being with my family and friends and making lifelong memories. I'm pretty much just a simple woman who enjoys life and tries to make the most out of each day I am blessed to open my eyes.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Alesha. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?
I have a really laid back personality, but at the same time I can talk to anyone and make a connection. I believe that life is all about connections. I can be dramatic when I'm passionate about something or just being silly. I am fun loving, adventure seeking, and always learning something new!
Alesha, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Hair Stylist?
My passion and aspirations change like the seasons. There is always something new that catches my interest. My main aspiration is just to be a good person to others and make an impression on someone's life.
I started as a hair stylist by attending Paul Mitchell the School in Tysons Corner, VA. That school forever changed my outlook on my career. I was introduced to the editorial and runway side of things versus solely the traditional salon experience. From the time I joined the design team, I knew I was hooked! JP and Winn Claybaugh really know how to keep someone inspired!
Who is your inspiration in life Alesha? How do you keep inspired?
Where I see myself in 20 years is my inspirations. I dream big! My mum told me at a very young age that I could do whatever it is that I wanted to do. She told me to always chase my dreams and truly believe I can do whatever I set my mind to, and I do believe that. My dream is to be the highest paid and most demanded celebrity hair stylist internationally.
We all make mistakes Alesha; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Hair Stylist; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I have had amazing experiences thus far; I can't think of any particular time where I didn't handle a situation in a way that was disrespectful or anything negative.
Alesha, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Hair Stylist, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
I believe in quality over quantity, paired with effective communication. If you can let the client know what's going on and why, they will be more likely to be understanding.
Please tell us, Alesha, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Hair Stylist?
All the time! (LOL) Especially when doing photo shoots and editorial productions because more often than not, its some variation of planned out. Sometimes you can move on the fly, but these big projects with props and additions require you to move strategically.
Alesha, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
Most of the time I can get people to see things my way. I am not saying this in an egotistical way; I put thought into my craft and try to have things planned out for success before beginning the task.
Alesha, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Hair Stylist. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My very first photo shoot. I was always the hair stylist in other people's projects, but this time everything was planned out by myself. I booked the photographer, the designer, the assistants, the studio, etc. I had the works! It was a complete success. I felt great that I was able to build a strong team and effectively communicate the vision and create the finished project. I even got recognition from Guy Tang!
Alesha, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I am (thankfully) always able to be creative. The folks I work with are very creative themselves and they know I thrive in that environment. Creative freedom can be kind of scary though because it's up to you to design your masterpiece, which for me can get overwhelming. But I also like to know that whatever gets created during the session is all mine.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Hair Stylist?
Learn as much as you can, master the basics, and take chances. Get outside your comfort zone and try something new! Be a good, genuine person and make your clients feel as beautiful as they look. Find your inspiration and keep your fire burning! This is an art!
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
YES! I love new collaborations! I am currently looking for more editorial fashion projects. I am of course open and interested in anything that pushes the boundaries, and that is fun and unique.
Now for the best part Alesha! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work.
Please add any photo credits for the photos you uploaded so that everybody can get recognised. Please fill this our properly,
