Alright, now for the interview! Firstly Alesha, how would you best describe yourself?
Hair Stylist

Our readers would love to get to know you more Alesha. Tell us about yourself, why you are passionate about what you do, and your journey so far.
I am passionate about editorial hair design. I love working with photographers, designers, creative directors and models on set and behind the scenes to create a new look! Graduated from Paul Mitchell the School - Tyson's Corner, I was introduced into the beauty world with creativity and originality. Becoming a member of the Ted Gibson Artistic Team was something I NEVER thought would happen, but the team is absolutely amazing, does incredible work, and provides you with the unique experience! And I've only been a pro for just under two years!

Would you like to complete our full Editorial interview or skip straight to uploading your photos?
Keep interviewing me!

What are your goals and how do you see yourself progressing in the field Alesha?
My major goal this year is to become published in a fashion or beauty magazine. I want to continue honing my skills and perfecting my craft while having fun along the way!

How do you communicate with people Alesha? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements?
I'm pretty much an open book! I have no problems talking or listening to anyone, its all about connections. I can FaceTime, make a phone call, send an email or text - I communicate in all ways! I am very patient, but I do not want my time wasted.

If you had to do it over again, what would you change Alesha?
Nothing at all. My journey so far has been a blessing. I would save more money to be able to travel to more places, though!

Who is your hero Alesha, and how have they helped you get to where you are?
As cliche as it is, Ted Gibson is my hero. I saw him as this untouchable magnificent man who is also one of the most in-demand celebrity hair stylists that exist! He is doing exactly the things I want to do! So when I sent him a message on Instagram as a cosmetology student, I thought I would never hear from him. He actually messaged me back, and it blew my mind! A few months after I graduated, I came across his post saying that he was hosting auditions for his team and I thought, why not! Ever since being on the team, I have been nothing but inspired and motivated to continue to chase my dreams and work hard.

How important are creative education courses Alesha? Have you taken any, and did you find them useful?
They are mandatory. As a hair stylist, I have to stay in the know about the new hot trends, and I have to know how to achieve them. I don't take courses, per se, but I have my own way of getting creative education ;)

Do you have any tips for someone who is just starting out in the industry?
Practice practice practice, put yourself out there, and always say yes to opportunities!

Please add any photo credits for the photos you uploaded so that everybody can get recognised.
