Alayaplease tell us your talent/work rate per hour?
75/hr.

Alaya. Tell us ABOUT yourself.
I am an actress, model, athlete, and filmmaker. I'd been acting and modeling for eleven years now in Atlanta, Georgia. Once I turned thirteen, my parents moved me to California to broaden my audience and fanbase, and it was also great for exposure. Also, I finished my first short/student film named No One Talk: 2094 in summer 2017. I also sing and can perform covers of my favorites songs.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Alaya. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I adore my Afro, and I prefer eccentric and eclectic style. I wear a choker with every outfit I find possible. Also, I used to competitively box when and do jiu-jitsu.

Alaya, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

I want to become an actress and filmmaker as I grow older as it had been my passion for years now. I started out as a model because my parents had a record label in Atlanta, Georgia. Their involvement in the industry helped me discover what I loved to do, and acting, modeling, singing, and filmmaker is it!

Who is your inspiration in life Alaya? How do you keep inspired?

I feel that my mom is my biggest inspiration. She used to be a dancer when she was younger. However, she didn't have the encouragement that I and many other millennials have today. So, because of her, I continue to sing, act, model, and make films. I do this by communicating with her and getting tips from her every chance I get.

We all make mistakes Alaya; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
This was a recent mistake. During a model photoshoot this past weekend, all models were responsible for bringing two outfits as we were shooting with two different photographers. However, because I am afraid to ask questions, I wore one outfit with both photographers. Afterwards, I had to find a way to do the second photoshoot again and changing into my second outfit.

Alaya, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

Now, I ask a bunch of question and do my best to keep up with their needs. I especially try to cater to what their theme or goal is for the product.

Please tell us Alaya, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

I was chosen to walk in Phoenix Teen Fashion Week 2016, and I was very excited. However, because I was excited, I felt that I needed to eat a cheeseburger or something to celebrate; basically, anything that wasn't good for you. It was when my mom and I decided to sit down and talk about what I needed to do to to maintain clean eating. So, I proposed that I would drink lots of water and eats foods that would maintain my overloading metabolism.

Alaya, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I would usually propose an idea and display the pros and cons of it. And it the pros would outweigh the cons, then they would essentially see it as a green light. For example, I did a photoshoot in Arizona, and there was a bit of conflict between the outfits that I should model. My mom brought my clothes, and the stylist brought clothes for me to the borough. Both wardrobes had different styles and fashion but were able to eventually mesh them together to create unique looks.

Alaya, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest accomplishment would be the outcome for me modelling in a Marciano fashion show, sponsored by the Miss Arizona Teen pageant. Due to my success in that show, a scout watching the show chose me and a few of the other models to walk in an annual talent convention in Los Angeles, IMTA. That fashion show acted as a catalyst for my success in walking other shows and getting more acting opportunities in California.

Alaya, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
The fashion show I had recently modeled in is a great example. One of the outfits was a teal jumpsuit that everyone loved, and the way my hair was made the designers do some awesome stuff with it! It was exciting because I never used to wear my hair natural, but now that I do, it gives designers new ideas. These ideas get them excited, and it makes me excited as well!

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?

Honestly, just be yourself, because life is too short to be anybody else. Go crazy with life! Showcase your inner and outer beauty, and don't forget who you are in the process. Also, remember: "Exist to be known, but live to be a legend."

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I am mostly looking to collaborate with fashion designers on fashion print shoots. I would also love to be a spokesmodel for makeup companies, like Clinique or Covergirl. Being a spokesmodel is something I love because it combines acting and modeling, which are two of my niches!

Now for the best part Alaya! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work.
