Just a young fun, wild, exciting adult looking to finally be discovered in the modeling industry to become the best high fashion, runway model the world has seen.
I am determined and ready to finally express myself to the world.

Our readers would love to get to know you more A'Jah. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I am an all around different person than most and I feel that is immediately known just from seeing me. I have a different style and swag than most and it works well for me.

A'Jah, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

My passion in life is to be happy and be able to do whatever I want in life. I want to succeed in many areas an I plan on doing that. I hope modeling can help me with that. I started as a model because I've heard many times that I should. I was a "tomboy" when I was younger and mostly still am. I used to watch ANTM on tv and although I never showed it, I knew modeling was something I could do. I am beautiful but I have a different look than most out there. I am unique in what I bring to the table and I want to be able to show and express that to many people. It's not only about the beauty but also the art that can be created.

Who is your inspiration in life A'Jah? How do you keep inspired?

My aspiration in the modeling world would be Naomi Campbell, reason being is she set a high standard and made herself known. She may have had accidents in her personal life that were shown but I look up to her more in the modeling aspect and the barriers she broke down as well as what she accomplished and still is. I plan to brand myself on a higher level than she has and she has managed to do it well enough for herself.
In my everyday life, other than Kanye (lol; he's the best artist of my time!) I would say my mother inspires me simply because I don't think there is anyone who believes in me more than she does and she knows what I'm capable of.
I stay inspired because I have yet finish accomplishing what I want to in life. I want to push for more and achieve so much and I have barely scratched the surface so until the I stay focused and go full throttle.

We all make mistakes A'Jah, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Model , you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
There was a situation where a makeup school needed me for modeling and I scheduled the tutorial and shoot with them thinking I was going out of town the next week and I was wrong. I cancelled somewhat last minute ( the day before) and the teacher was upset yet I let her know it was my apologies. I don't think she understood but I tried to reason with her of being there for her before on short notice and helping her in the future when I returned back to the city. It was a miscommunication on my part and I understood.

A'Jah ,when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

I keep high energy and take one shoot at a time. Sometimes I know a model may be overworked but that comes with the business. Whatever is most important to the client, is most important to me because I love to show how well I was raised and hoping the client would want to work with me again in the future.

Please tell us A'Jah, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

I had to have everything planned out for myself from having everything prepared to getting from one place to the next. I made sure I was on my P's and toes and didn't want to disappoint.

A'Jah, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
It wasn't in a modeling situation but at a park I worked at, I convinced my boss to allow me to start an adult basketball league. She was new and was still getting a feel for the park. Me being a female she didn't want me being the only person on duty and running a program myself with predominately males, she was concerned for my safety. I did let her know that I would put it together and if I had the right people and referees helping to run the system everything would be fine. I let her know I knew trustworthy people who would join, I had a male coworker who I convinced to help be there, and hardass refs who would keep the athletes in control. I showed her the paperwork, rules, and signups I prepared and showed her I was serious about the program and how it was able to bring in attention and money to the park. She trusted and followed me and allowed me to start the program.

A'Jah please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share to everyone. What is it and why?
I haven't been in that moment yet. Once I'm signed with an agency, or walking down a high fashion runway then I can confidently answer that question.

A'Jah, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
A time would be the days I want to get dressed and stand out. I like to put small twists on outfits that I wear and make them more me. It's exciting because it's me showing off my style and creativity.

What advice would you give to the people who wants to be successful as a Model?

Keep pushing towards whatever or wherever you want to reach. There will be a lot of doors slammed in your face, a lot of no's, a lot of haters, and everything in between. There are lots of positive as well but it's the negative that can bring you down, especially with modeling. Just keep being and doing you, somebody will love you for just that.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes! Anyone, I am open to all ideas, and if anybody likes my look, or wants to work with me or try new and different things then I am always for it; to an extent of my comfort level of course.
