Our readers would love to get to know you more Dhvani. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I am a freelance apparel designer. I've always been inclined towards making western silhouettes using Indian fabrics. Mixing of both contemporary and Indian elements in my garments is something that makes them elegant, trendy yet simple !

Dhvani, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Designer?

As a kid, I always used to design and stitch outfits for my Barbie dolls. Also, I was very much inclined towards observing fashion and trends since childhood and I also used to style others! Growing up, being an art and fashion lover I started learning about it more and more and that's what made me end up here in this industry.

Who is your inspiration in life Dhvani? How do you keep inspired?

My main inspirations are Indian culture and western silhouettes. Amalgamation of both make great combinations and designs. I also follow Indian designers on social medias and keep myself updated which is an everyday inspiration for me to keep going in this industry.

We all make mistakes Dhvani, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Designer , you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
Whenever, being a beginner, I used to get nervous I panicked a lot and eventually messed up all my work! That's the one thing that I would like to change

Dhvani ,when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Designer, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

I always note down all important and must wanted requirements of my clients and also delivery date is jotted down. Having every single, minute detail jotted down in the book,it becomes easier to deliver the best I can,to my patrons!!

Please tell us Dhvani, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Designer?

Time management is a very and the most important strategy that has helped me prioritize my work easily and well

Dhvani, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
Most of the times, clients have most likely been convinced by my designs and my ideas easily. So there has been no such situation arised where I had to try hard convincing my client for anything.

Dhvani please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Designer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share to everyone. What is it and why?
There has been no such specific moment till date. But yes, I do feel very proud when an ensemble fits the client perfectly and they are able to carry it happily and confidently.

Dhvani, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I've always been inclined towards art and I've always loved combining artwork and designing together. Along with designing ensembles,I also like to develop prints using different inspirations. And coming to the excitement, being creative has always been exciting for me as I always got to learn something new with every step that I took.

What advice would you give to the people who wants to be successful as a Designer?

As a designer, you always need to be observant and keep your mind active round the clock. You should be able to take inspirations from different things and think out of the box to stand out as a designer. Also, along with the creativity there should be a nice convincing power which helps you in dealing with suppliers and clients both.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes, I'm definitely looking forward to showcase my designs in famous creative magazines or any famous multi designer store.
