I'm a self-taught artist/designer for almost 16 years. I do everything from sketching to painting, as well as graphic arts. I do design clothing and sew Most of them. What got me into fashion was helping my older sister shop and piece items together to make her stand out from the current fashion at the time which was the late 90's. I love the freedom of expression people can take just piecing clothing together, and it tells a little story about who they are. My favourite upcoming designer is HUMANS who gave me a helping hand. My favorite top fashion house who inspires me is Dolce&Gabbana.
Our readers would love to get to know you more Adrian. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?
I don't like to fit in, and that's what allows me to fit in with everyone. I guess you can say that the life style of my brand as well
Adrian, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Designer?
I got my style from helping my older sister shop piece items together to stand out from "whats in". At the time it was late 90's mid 2000's.
Who is your inspiration in life Adrian? How do you keep inspired?
I love art which is a big influence on me. Everyone knows the bigger named artist, so I like to venture out and find upcoming people like myself. Designer I look after are HUMANS who helped me out. The artist I look after are, Itsmcflyy, Fakesavian, robregis.
We all make mistakes Adrian; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Designer; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
Well considering I only like working on garments for myself, I only accept certain people to take commissions for pieces. But currently, I didn't have a return policy at all so back in 2015 I wasn't too clear on sizing, so that was an issue when selling. As of 2016 that was fixed.
Adrian, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Designer, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
Communication is key! Before accepting any new clients or commissions, I tell them my entire schedule and other clients I'm working on. I have everything laid out on who needs what, and when so I can personally see to who I should work on first. Each step Is communicated to they will know how connected I am so they don't feel left out.
Please tell us, Adrian, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Designer?
I like everything to be as perfect as can be. If not I will not sell nor give something unless complete or in the condition I would like to receive something as well. The best way is to work efficiently and quickly.
Adrian, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
Well at my retail job, I'm a person stylist for each customer that need assistance. So most people can't justify paying two hundred dollars for a pair of jeans. The best way to explain it to them was just to try them on and compare them to their current jeans. he understood the difference afterwards and never looked back on buying cheaper jeans again.
Adrian, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Designer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
The support, and feeling when seeing a new order come in and or commission. I don't care about the money at all. It will always be the support. It just makes me feel like I'm connected with my customers.
Adrian, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
It was the beginning when I first started out. All the emotions that go through your mind and body like " is this good enough will people buy this ", but then your gut is just like the focus you got this.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Designer?
Don't even worry about being successful so much; you'll get over shadowed by yourself before you know it. Just do what you do best a and have fun!
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
The top goal is to collaborate with Dolce &Gabbana. I also want to Collaborate with HUMANS very soon I'm shooting for the next year or two. But I'm open to collaborating with basically anyone who's creative in all honesty.
