Addie. Tell us ABOUT yourself.
I have studied dance for nine years. I take hip hop, ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, musical theatre and acro. I have performed in the Nutcracker and Swan Lake. I enjoy performing. L am active in my school. Last year I was in patrols, choir, strings, student council, and director for morning announcements. I will be entering middle school next year, and I am excited to be taking theatre arts and to join several school clubs. I enjoy art, cooking, swimming, braiding hair, and hanging out with my friends. I really enjoy volunteering to help with the younger dancers at the dance studio.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Addie. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I am an 11-year girl who loves to dance and perform. I am new to modelling and enjoy working with different photographers, hair and makeup artists, stylists, and coaches. I am learning a so much, and I am having fun!

Addie, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

My passion is dance. I am always working on my skills and really like taking master classes and working with different choreographers. I hope to continue dances and maybe open a studio or be a dance teacher. I got into modelling from my dance and contacts through dance. My first shoot was a concept shoot, and it was so much fun, I knew I wanted to keep doing this.

Who is your inspiration in life Addie? How do you keep inspired?

I get inspired by watching different styles of dance and dancers. It's so cool as dancers can bring their own unique style to the same choreography. I like to attend master classes which dancers of all ages, other dancers inspire me. I think its the same for modelling. I am usually the youngest model when we go group sessions, but everyone has been so nice and helpful, I can learn from all of them.

We all make mistakes Addie; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Model, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
Recently, I was asked to do a fashion show for charity and was super excited about the opportunity. However, I could not attend the pre-show meeting, and the organizers told me I'd be fine. The day of the event came, and it was not what I expected. So I think in this situation, I should have asked more questions to be better prepared.

Addie , when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

I am still learning this, but I try to stay calm and polite, while ensuring I have met my commitment.

Please tell us, Addie, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

Recently, I performed with my hip hop team, and the next day I have a few interviews for modelling. The dance performance was in Dallas; one interview was in Austin and the second interview in Houston. So we had to plan our schedule to the minute to ensure we left Dallas in time to travel to Austin and then San Antonio. It gets challenging at time, but since I am new and trying to make those connections and make a good first impression, I have to be focused and adhere to a schedule.

Addie, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I had a dance photo shoot, and the photographer asked me what kind of poses and tricks I can do, so I had to come up with things to show her. I wanted to do a leap across a street. No an easy thing to do with traffic and an action shot. But we were able to capture it on the first take, and the photographer was really happy.

Addie, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
Since I am so new to modelling, I think I was the most excited when I saw a photographer use a photo of me on their Facebook page. It was so cool to see someone post a picture of me besides my mom or friends. That helped me to know maybe I could be good at this.

Addie, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
One photo shoot was a concept shoot with a flapper look on a train. The photographer took several pictures with very serious looks, but I thought it would be fun to laugh or smile really big, like I was having fun. I had fun with those, and the photographer asked me to do more like that so I was excited that she liked the idea.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?

I think for me, it is listening. You have to listen to the photographer, as they know what they want and if they want your help or ideas, they'll ask. Listening is so important in this industry.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes, it would be fun to collaborate. I recently was selected to be an ambassador for a local photographer who is involved in various areas of photography, fashion, art, media, and other artistic projects. This is for her kid's project, and I am super excited to participate in this program. Also; I am interested in kids fashion, dance wear, active wear, sunglasses, shoes.

Now for the best part Addie! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work.
