ABOUT
Since childhood, i was passionate about fashion and clothes I remember creating clothes for dolls and style them up. The artistic side of me has been noticed by family members and provided me with the support needed at that time. I continued to participate in art studies, and I graduated with an arts degree in graphic design. Throughout the hears I worked as a brand manager and communications assistant and always visualized my goal which is having my fashion label knowing that I can bring new lavish concepts and stories. I finally managed to establish my label and got my first collection ready, and I am proud of it knowing that it conveys a story and its a reflection of luxury regarding material and quality. I am looking forward to having my label growing up and being recognized as a luxurious brand offering women and men a truly fashion statement pieces. I am inspired by literally anything around me, music, food, culture and even the smallest things around me. It is important to me to always transform my inspiration into a fashion piece and styles that people can relate to. My label is offering fashion rather than offering what is trendy at the moment. I manipulate the trends and create a forward fashion pieces for those that want to be a little bit different yet relevant to whats going on. I believe that fashion transforms life into a lifestyle and luxury is everyone’s right to have therefore been focusing on each detail to make sure that my pieces reflect that statement.
Our readers would love to get to know you more Abdallah. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?
The stories I tell through my collections. As I always get the inspiration from maybe the most random things around me. For example, My current collection is inspired by a barista lady that spilt coffee on a man’s shirt, and I manipulated that shirt into dresses and gowns. So I do believe that the story telling is what makes my style unique.
Abdallah, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Fashion Label?
I am passionate about fashion and every aspect of it, from fabric, accessories and even the tiny stitches. If fashion were food, I’d have had it as my main dish every day. I aspire to deliver my vision and be recognized for my style and fashion touch.
I started my label with a thought that was born with a constantly irritating fashion sense then I transformed that thought into a vision, and simply I supported my vision with a plan and action. I am inspired by nature, so I didn’t need much of a motivation as much as I knew that I need to provide commitment and dedication.
Who is your inspiration in life Abdallah? How do you keep inspired?
My inspiration comes from what I call -my brain bubble- I look, and I observe my surrounding, I create stories for objects and things around me, even the people i don’t know I just observe and start imagining them as characters in my bubbles, I utilize my first impression of my surrounding and I create a scenario that leads me to something that i visualize and then makes as a product so I can see it and let others enjoy it. I am inspired by great designers, and their stories such as Louis Vuitton, Cristobal Balenciaga, Jean Paul Gaultier and I cant forget my favorite Jeremy Scott
We all make mistakes Abdallah; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Fashion Label; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
Sometimes being brutally honest could hurt the other party although u don't mean bad, I have learnt that u should always ask for a reason why things went wrong and learn about what led to the mistake rather than raging on others and punishing them for the mistakes. If you ask why and learn about what went wrong, you would also learn about the person and this way u develop a better way to communicate with person. So even when u want to say the truth, sometimes it is better to say it in a way that u let the person know ur true opinion professionally without involving The emotions.
Abdallah, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Fashion Label, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
Since we are an emerging label, we are catering to a small amount at the time being. So far everything is managed and handled well we hope to have a huge amount of clients very soon, but I can tell you about how we put the clients needs against our beliefs and work around it, for example, if a client needs a total change of a current idea we try to find a balance where we don’t lose ourselves as a brand and not to lose the clients desires. We always communicate and set clear transparent objectives which are measurable and easy to understand for both.
Please tell us, Abdallah, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Fashion Label?
Its the time I decided to defeat the fear and all the what-ifs that I had in mind. I believe that I had to put a strategy and a plan, write it down, read it and act up on it. I have learnt that you don't really need to be 100% ready to start, all you need is to start the plan, and things will naturally fall in place as you desire to provide that commitment and dedication are practised.
Abdallah, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I remember I wanted to finish one gown and then realized that certain fabric is out of stock as we took more time sampling the dress, everyone was stressed as we also needed the same fabric for another dress, after taking my five seconds of panicking I had the adrenaline rushing through my veins of excitement as I visualized the gown in a better style by removing some of that fabric and use it for another design and used a different fabric for the one that we struggled on. My colleagues were worried and suggested waiting for stock, but I persuaded them that sometimes it is fortunate to have trouble or an issue to push the mind to come up with a better solution
Abdallah, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Fashion Label. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
The moment I saw my dresses in real life. I couldn’t believe the fact that all this was just a thought and then a sketch on a paper. It is the proudest moment coz I knew then that a new label is born
Abdallah, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
Choosing the right fabric, its a difficult yet exciting, you could have the best design but then ruin it with the wrong fabric choice and of course vice versa. Its is the most beautiful challenge
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Fashion Label?
Believe in yourself and never give up. There will be moments where you want to runaway from it all, but I promise you that the real test
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
