I am a 25-year-old self-taught photographer based in New York. I started out working as an assistant to an amazing fashion photographer by the name of Shevon Miller in 2015. I also had the opportunity to work alongside some very talented young artist, such as a stylist & Creative Director Lou Lou of Lnhaus and published model Beatrice. By 2017 I worked with some upcoming actors and models such as Tchard Pacquette who has worked with Vh1 and MTV. This year I started working with Salt N Pepa Head choreographer & model Al-has Boxx.
I've been on my own for two years now, working hard to be the best photographer I can be. At some point in my career during the 2nd year, I somehow got pulled into wedding photography. I have now done over seven weddings and have recently been booked to do three more in the year 2018. I have been published in the volant magazine, and I am looking to be published again in March of this year (2018).
Although I have just started out my journey as a photographer, I have learned so much, and I have so much more to learn.

I am a 25yrs old male photographer.
Born in Jamaica but raised in New York.
I am 1 of 3 siblings to an outstanding single mother. I Started my photography journey in 2015 and have been focused on learning everything o can about photography ever since.
Shaine, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?
I have always had a passion for photography, but I was persuaded to do culinary arts. Which was fun but I had to follow my heart which leads me to work with the young and talented Shevon Miller as a Photography assistant.
Who is your inspiration in life Shaine? How do you keep inspired?
If I'm, to be honest, I keep myself inspired. To keep moving forward I simply look back at where I'm coming from, but if o had to speak on somehow who also inspires me apart from myself, I would have to say my aunt. She is so strong, and she allows nothing to hold her back. She is probably the most loving person o have ever come across, and she doesn't give up on something she is working to achieve.
We all make mistakes Shaine; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Photographer; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
Quite recently. I worked with a young lady as a backup photographer for an event at the beginning of the year. She loved how I worked and how I manoeuvred around the room to get each shot. After the event, she attacked me stating that I took her spot light. Being that this was the first time I was being attacked for doing a good job I had no idea how to react but I handled the situation in a way that was not correct. I yelled at the young lady and gave her my memory card saying to her "since it's all about the spotlight for you take this and enjoy your pathetic life, I hope your editing skills are better than your disgusting attitude".
Shaine, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
I simply ask my clients what are the main shots they are looking to get from a session with me. Once I have worked with them on getting the shots they want I then go on to try something I think they'd like based off of what they said they want to create.
Please tell us, Shaine, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?
Every time I do weddings I have to be extremely strategic. I usually start off the week of the wedding with a to-do list. I then start to plan for distractions such as weather, traffic, damaging of equipment. I always have back ups for everything. Finally, I make sure that all the plans for the wedding are final and that I have a layout of what will happen at what time in the program. I make sure I know everything the wedding planners know.
Shaine, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I feel like I'm always able to persuade people to see things my way, only because people see my work and are comfortable allowing me to create something for them.
Shaine, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest professional accomplishment was getting published for the first time in Volant Magazine at the beginning of this year (January 2018).
Shaine, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I had the opportunity to work with five beautiful females in the summer of 2017 on a project entitled: Too Many "BAD" Bitches Not Enough QUEENS.
I have to say it was the most difficult shoot I had ever worked on. Making sure that makeup and hair was done on time and that everyone knew what they were supposed to do. It was also the most exciting project because it was the first time I had full control on a shoot. I choose what the models wore as well as what each model were to do. The best moment of the shoot was getting to stop traffic on 42nd street while my model posed in the street in all white. Everyone was watching and cheering us in. It was an experience like no other.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?
My would be never to give up. No matter what those around you say about what you're doing just keep pushing through. They'll join the party sooner or later. Also if you're serious about it learn as much as you can and never be afraid to create.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I most definitely am looking for calibrations. I want to work with fashion models from all over as well as creative directors who can help me bring my art to life.
