ABOUT
I'm a 18 year old student at Tyler Junior College when I graduate I plan on moving to California & attend UCLA I plan on studying business marketing but also have a modeling career on the side along with a styling job. Like every other girl I dress according to my mood. Keeping up with the lastest style is a must. Far as modeling I had my first shoot when I was senior in high school I was shy at first but then I made a connection with camera remembering that I'm very photogenic so just relax and have fun and that's what I did. Most importantly I learned to be comfortable in my own skin as a model can't let what the next model got going on intimidate you because we all got to start somewhere to get to where we want to be. I just like to have fun and motivate others that anything is possible if you just believe the sky is the limit.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Sha'Nia . Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I'm more of a chill laid back type of girl I love R&B I'm a Instagram addict like I can't function without my Instagram. I'm very observant you can say shy at first but I'm really full of life and fun.

Sha'Nia , what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

My aspiration in life is to be happy and accomplishing all my goals that I've made for myself be this role model every girl looks up to and live life to the fullest because you only get one life to live. My modeling came about when I was going into this hair store to purchase some bundles and the CEO of the Company Saditty Hair Extensions she was like omg you're so pretty & she wanted me to help get her hair out more so she tossed me some flyers to pass out & made me a model also so that's kind of where it started I didn't mind because I'm open to positive new experiences

Who is your inspiration in life Sha'Nia ? How do you keep inspired?

I have so many women that inspire me but I would have to say Joyce-Lynn Williams, Kimberly LaSane, LaToya Sessions & LaSonya Drew these four women gave me a chance and I really look up to them all the time I tell them I want to be just like you when I grow because where we come from it's not much of a support system as a community because not many people are involved it's hard to come up sometimes in such a small town but they manage to make it work and they have became a huge success. So I have a few good role models in my life to keep me inspired and I also push myself because this is my life

We all make mistakes Sha'Nia , we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Model , you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I've never ever had any problems with anyone I've done business with to be honest because you pick and choose who you do business with and I'm very understanding and so are they. The people I've worked with likes to keep it professional have fun and get the job done but leave the drama and negativity at the door.

Sha'Nia  ,when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

I have a very busy schedule I keep an agenda of days that I'm on the go and days that I call chill days and on my chill days I'm usually busy then but it's not really all that important so I fit what I'm doing into that because what I do is very important to me.

Please tell us Sha'Nia , about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

National American Miss it was a photoshoot competition to make it as a state finalist before I could walk in I was like this is going to be a piece of cake but I saw how beautiful and dressed up the ladies were and I had on nothing but a t-shirt jeans & Jesus Sandles I started shaking in my boots but my face was beat so pretty like. So I came up with a strategy to boost my confidence up a little bit higher than usual when it was my turn I had kind of upped the bar for the rest and I made it to state finalist like that. So it wasn't about what you wear it's how you wear it

Sha'Nia , please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
Saditty Hair Extensions Photoshoot the photographer and the owner was like why you got your back turned towards us? Turn around let us see that pretty smile and I was like no no no I have Brazilian body wave people needs to see how beautiful these wave are in my hair then they was like ooohhh yeah good idea *Giggles* but eventually I turnt around gave them a smile after that shot.

Sha'Nia please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share to everyone. What is it and why?
I believe when I modeled for LaToya Sessions she created a movement that I volunteered to be a part of it was called I Am Beautiful Movement you know giving girls and women you know confidence and self love and teaching them their rights as a woman. She came up with this brilliant idea that people should donate their old formal dresses for those who couldn't afford a beautiful dress for whatever occasion and around that time it was really beneficial because it was the month of Prom & a lot of people picked up and donated tons of gorgeous gowns.

Sha'Nia , please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
Birthday Photoshoot I was doing an edgy look for my birthday and me I'm so goofy and loving so that was pretty different for me because I'm use to a girly girl type look but no I had to be tough and look tough and that was kind of hard and Marcus was like come on you do better than that act like you don't want to be here

What advice would you give to the people who wants to be successful as a Model?

Learn to be comfortable in your skin because it will really show in your pictures even if you don't see it yourself other people can see it
