I am a happy, confident teen who loves fashion editorial work. I have a drama scholarship at an independent school so can arrange work around school life. I live between the U.K. and San Diego. I love animals and laughter.
Our readers would love to get to know you more Jessica. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer?
I am a genuinely happy teen, never moody and have a passion for excellent photography. I am tenacious and will keep on going until we get the right shot. I love sport and exercise regularly and am very careful with the food I eat. My hair and laughter are my best assets.
Jessica, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Young Model?
Ever since I was able to walk down Santa Monica promenade or Oxford Street, I have been approached by many model agencies. I am always asked if I am related to Thylane Blondeau. When I turned 13, my parents spoke to me to see if it would be something I wanted to pursue after being spotted on stage in a local performance. I love photography, I love movement and light, and right now there is nothing more I enjoy than styling and doing a shoot until you get the right picture, and all on set know when that picture is snapped. It's a great feeling. We submitted photos to Kinds London, and I was signed in 5 minutes. I would love to pursue a career with a combination of fashion and drama, wherever the road leads to my aspiration is always to give it the best I can and never have any regrets.
Who is your inspiration in life Jessica? How do you stay inspired as Young Model?
My inspiration comes from my godfather; he has always been there for me, a very successful man he always seems to say the right thing and give the best advice. Getting older and learning more from him is the most exciting thing. Each picture takes me one step further learning more, with each shoot I meet more amazing people with fantastic stories. It's these stories that inspire me, we can all look at the superstars and be encouraged, but it's the smaller stories that intrigue me, those that overcome adversity in the most impossible of circumstances make anything in the world seem possible.
We all make mistakes Jessica; we wish we could take back. What was the error you made in the past that you want to you can bring back?
I left the morning my life dog became ill, I was in a rush and did not say goodbye, he had to be put to sleep before I came home. I will never take the people and animals around me for granted and always say goodbye.
Jessica, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients?
Happy, compliant and innovative.
Please tell us, Jessica, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family?
School is essential as are friends, sport and the farm. Jobs come up, and we all juggle things around, so it works. I am fortunate I have a school scholarship and the encourage and endorse my work.
Jessica, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
Bows are just not my thing. I have a slim face, and a big bow does not work for me. The client intended to have the most massive bow sitting in a high ponytail on my head. I just was not comfortable; it was heavy, did not stay in place and felt all wrong. I suggested the bow was placed like a bow tie around my neck and we got the best cheeky picture that the client loved.
Jessica, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Young Model.
Calling my Godfather to say he was right, he said I would be signed within 5 minutes! I am always proud of my work as I keep going until we get what we need.
Jessica, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it?
Actions shots always call for creativity, one shoot for sports clothes required a split leap, but having torn my hamstring we got a much better shot with a cat leap. There's always a creative solution; I am a creative person.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Young Model?*
Eat well, drink lots of water, exercise to feel good and send in a snapshot, no fancy pictures, be you.
