Erica Mudd

Erica Mudd

I graduated from Miami university with a degree in creative writing. I have always had a special interest in modeling and the fashion world in general. I have no experience in the field however I believe that my unique features and personality can take me far in the industry once I break into it. I have many other interests pertaining to the industry such as styling and makeup and believe myself to be a jack of all trades. I am very capable and talented, using my creative mind to put my own spin on any project given to me.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Erica. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I have a very edgy style and androgynous look. I believe that makes me very versatile when it comes to modeling and fashion. I have an array of interests from sports to anime, rap to metal music and have a true passion for fashion. I think because of my wide variety of interest I can easily relate to other people and fit into just about any crowd. I am a very goofy person who always has a smile on her face.

Erica, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

My aspiration in life is to become a successful model so that I can use my platform to help others in need. I really want to make a mark in the world and strive to make a difference in people’s lives. I want to touch people and do what I love at the same time. I want to have the kind of influence that Beyoncé has so I can spread love and compassion.

Who is your inspiration in life Erica? How do you keep inspired?

My inspirations are people like Beyoncé, Rihanna, Lupita Nyong’o, and Eminem. These people are all passionate and stand for something. They’ve all had their struggles but always come out on top. As someone who has also struggled with various personal issues I want to be able to help others who have gone through the same things. Those I’ve listed as well as many others are who keep me inspired. If they can do it so can I.

We all make mistakes Erica, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Model , you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I’ve not worked as a model yet.

Erica ,when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

I’ve not worked as a model yet but I can give an example from my previous retail job. Things often got busy there to the point where sometimes you couldn’t get to every customer or one in particular is taking up most of your time. I learned that if you at least touch base with each customer in between tasks it makes things easier to juggle.

Please tell us Erica, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

Multitask, multitask, multitask.

Erica, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I have no modeling examples but at my precious job we were responsible for putting together outfits for customers who often needed things to wear for things like funerals, weddings, vacations, etc. The area that our store is in isn’t particularly fashion forward so sometimes it took a bit of convincing to get a customer to try the things you picked out for them. Whenever I faced a difficult customer I like this I would point out why I chose the things I did and how it would flatter their body. And I would say things like “the worst thing that could happen is you try it on and hate it. Then on to the next one.”

Erica please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share to everyone. What is it and why?

Erica, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I have no examples but I would love to be creative with my modeling. I would see all the cool things the models got to do on America’s next top model and would itch to do them myself!

What advice would you give to the people who wants to be successful as a Model?

Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there.
