Elodie. Tell us ABOUT yourself.
I am a fashion model in Dubai. I represent brands; I walk the runway in nice venues over the city: JW Marquis hotel, Pullman Creek city centre, Sofitel Palm Jumeirah. I do video shoots to promote restaurants like Ting Inrie, España Dubai or Boca DIFC.

I modelled for several fashion designers including @carolcrocs, @sharonexclusive and @ruchevanheerden.

I did a video shoot in Dubai desert to promote the launch of a new camera for the brand Canon.
I was a promoter for the alcohol activation of the brand Bacardi.
I was extra in the movie Twisted blues by JAC Mulder at Palazzo Versace and Sofitel Downtown and other video shoots.

I am a very hard worker, coming from an engineering background I decided to follow my passion for modelling and managed to make connections and to promote myself attending networking events and through social media management.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Elodie. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I am from French West-Indies, Guadeloupe to be accurate. I am a wanderlust, very optimistic and enthusiastic person. In addition to modelling I am a good dancer. I've been practising many latin dances for ten years. I always enjoy a good salsa night. :)

Elodie, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

I have always been complimented on my height when going out and been asked if I were a model. I hadn't considered becoming one until a friend mentioned a casting for a catwalk in her WhatsApp group.
I attended the casting, and I was selected to walk the runway for Max fashion brand.
Then I started to make connections and to get into it.
It is an amazing experience. My ambitious is to be an international model since I like travelling. I would like to represent high end brands in fashion magazines.

Who is your inspiration in life Elodie? How do you keep inspired?

Micah Gianneli is my inspiration; she is a very talented, stylish lady. I keep inspired listening to motivational speakers like Tony Robins, Les Brown or Eric Thomas.

We all make mistakes Elodie; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I was recently selected as finale during a fashion show, and one of my colleague models was very disappointed because she wanted the opportunity. I tried to comfort her, but obviously, there is no word that could offset such a disappointment.

Elodie , when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

I use the project management skills that I developed in my previous corporate jobs. I deal with priorities, and I use follow-up excel spreadsheets to keep track of the different ongoing collaborations.

Please tell us Elodie, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

I am a freelance model, therefore, I permanently have to keep track of ongoing castings, enquire of the market trend, manage my social media engagement, find promoters and influencers. I would say that I have to be strategic all the time: planning, dealing with priorities, following-up ongoing activities, etc.

Elodie, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I recently managed to convince one of my photographers to use the concept I had chosen and the location. I succeeded to gain his approval stating the positive impacts that this concept would have over the web and the originality.

Elodie, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
I was proud to be the finale during a fashion show and to represent a great South African Fashion designer. It was awesome; it is very exciting, and I felt very flattered to have been chosen.

Elodie, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
Creativity is essential in this job. I suggested some ideas to the last fashion designer I worked with regarding accessories, poses and makeup. She was willing to consider my remarks which is great.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?

Aspiring models should surround themselves with the right professionals who will push them to the top. They should make good connections in the fashion industry attending fashion shows and other events related to the field. It is also necessary to work with good photographers to set up a very good portfolio and be noticed by casting agents.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I am looking for more promotion from fashion designers, social media influencers and fashion bloggers.

I would like to be featured with fashion talents and to be published in high-end fashion magazines.

Now for the best part Elodie! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work.
